Love reading about a good kohls deal–well done! Now go join an instant pot group on Facebook and start cooking!!! 😊

    • Julia

The instant pot group on Facebook is great. I believe the group already has over one million potheads!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Lol! Thanks for the hip tip Julie! Glad to hear you have been enjoying the Kohl’s deals!

  2. Kristyn

I’ve had this on my mind constantly! I’m gonna jump and get one. Not entirely sure how to cook with it, but if you can make tender ribs in forty minutes?! I’m down.

  3. That Saving Mama

This just may put me over the edge to get a Kohl’s charge . . .and become a pothead =)

  4. RanchWife

I got my 8 qt on Black Friday and use 1-2 times per week. It doesn’t always save time but it allows me to walk away and do other things and it only dirties up one pot (which is dishwasher safe). I highly recommend joining a Facebook group to help with recipes and figuring things out initially.

  5. nk

is price same as black friday

  6. Rachael

What size is best for a family of 4 with 2 8 year old boys and more littles down the road?

    • Ann

The 8Qt as leftovers are always great!

    • Karla

I bought a 6qt and then later added an 8qt. The 6qt was great BUT not big enough for left overs. Actually, I still have and use both sizes. If I had to choose one, I’d go with my 8qt.

    • SL

I’d say get the 8qt. I have family of 4 w/ 2 boys, 7 and 10 and wished I got the 8qt. We have the 6qt, which is enough but better if 8 qt. I like to make stock so sometimes have to make 2 batches vs 1 if with 8qt. Also you can cook larger meats in the larger pot.

    • Wren

I have the 6 for my husband and I and two toddlers and I almost already wish I had the 8. Its fine for now but I’ll probably need to upgrade eventually!

  7. Mommy of 2

Does anyone have a Air Fryer & if so what size do you recommend?

    • Mirela

Yes I upgraded from a small size to a bigger one. I bought it from Kohls, Power XL, 5.3qt. Love it!

  8. Lisa

Curious if any H2S-ers have heard of/tried the “Crock Pot Instant Pot?” I didn’t even realize it had existed as all I’ve heard in the news is about the “Instant Pot.” Supposedly, the Crock Pot version has an edge on the Instant Pot (at least in what I have been able to garner from a report/review I read. One thing is that the instructions were a bit easier to understand/read. I’m still sitting on the fence on this new gadget. I’m sure I’ll eventually jump, but still weighing all my options. My gal pals do love the Instant Pot.

    • Paulina

Get the Instant Pot. The Crock pot brand has a non stick inner pot vs the Instant Pot’s stainless steel one. Also the great majority of recipes are made for the IP, no need for you to figure out buttons or different cook times. HTH!

      • Lisa

Thank you, Paulina. Ugg.. decisions, decisions! The recipes my friends have been using look phenomenal. I get to try them next week. Looking forward to it.

    • Michelle W

Consumer reports did a test on both and felt that the Crockpot was a better bang for your buck

      • Lisa

Thank you, Michelle W. We do like Consumer Reports and do put weight into what their reviews say. My indecision must mean I’m not ready!

    • Amanda

I have the crock pot version. I bought it because it was much cheaper than the Instantpot and I knew I would probably end up with an 8qt Instantpot eventually because the crockpot is only 6qt. It also gave me the opportunity to play with it until I could find a deal for an 8qt. I have enjoyed it. I have been able to adapt all Instantpot recipes on the crockpot version. Which, by the way, manual on crockpot is using the beans/chili button and adjusting the time. So if 6qt works for you and you don’t want to spend the money on the Instantpot brand. I say go for it!

      • Lisa

Thank you, Amanda. I love my Crockpot, so conflicted in that regard after reading the article.

        • Jenn

Hey Lisa…I totally agree! I bought the Crockpot one and looooooooove it! There are a ton of recipes for the Crock Pot pressure cooker too. I bought mine from Amazon and the reviews are what made my decision for me.

        • SL

I’m very indecisive when it comes to things that there are many version of. I use reviews to help but since both have pretty good reviews just go with whichever one you are leaning toward. You can’t go wrong with either item. Personally I like my instant pot but then again if I had the crockpot version I’d probably like to it too after learning how to use all the functions.

    • amy111

I do brand sampling and demonstrated the Crock Pot pressure cooker a few weeks ago. It was SO easy use that I fell in love with it and needed one too. I made frozen meatballs with a yummy sauce from scratch in 13 minutes! All day I heard stories that people had the same pressure cooker…roasts in 30 minutes etc. There is a nice cookbook that comes with the box. It is honestly very high quality too. You can’t go wrong with the Crock Pot pressure pot!

  9. Susan

I have been watching these for quite a while! Thanks to Hip2Save, some great deals from Kohl’s and a $20 gift card, I paid $70 for the 8 qt, plus $10 Kohl’s Cash earned! Thank you!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh awesome! You’re very welcome Susan! Sounds like a great score for sure!

  10. Melissa

Question: Is the Kohl’s cash transferable? If I use my card on behalf of someone else to buy something at Kohls, does it have to be me spending the Kohl’s cash or can I give it to my friend to use?

    • Just passing through

You can give it away. Believe the only person you can’t give it to is an employee- my mil works there and told me she can’t use my k cash

    • Jeanette

You can give it to a friend. Just print it or take a screenshot of the Kohls cash that they email you.

  11. Dee

Been waiting for a good deal on this! Got myself an 8 QT 🙂

  12. Dee

My total comes to $49 before taxes for a 3qt. Will I still get $10 kohls cash. It does not show for me at checkout.

    • Zoya

I only spent $48. Why did I receive Kohl’s Cash?
If you make a purchase within $2 of the Kohl’s Cash earned criteria, you will receive Kohl’s Cash. For example, if you place an order of $48, we’ll round that purchase up to $50 and give you $10 Kohl’s Cash.

      • Dee

Got that!! Thanks a ton, I made my order and got my $10 kohls cash.

  13. Dee

Question on yesterday’s Kohl’s barstool deal- (sorry to post here)- I bought 2 of those and spent $109 after promo codes and paid using $5 birthday reward, $60 gift card and rest using my credit card. At the end I just got $10 in Kohl’s cash. I feel I should have got $20 in KC. Not a frequent shopper at Kohl’s so could any of you tell me where am I going wrong? Thanks in advance!!

    • Zoya

$5 birthday reward is not a method of payment. It is applied before % off codes.

      • Dee

Ohhh. I didn’t know that. Anyways after 5off total was 104$.

    • CbEths

Was it $109 after tax? Kohl’s cash is based on pre-tax purchase.

      • Dee

It’s 97.73 before tax and after birthday reward.

      • Dee

Thanks for clarifying. I should have spent little more.

        • Keisha

I learned from the first time EVER this year, that you can bring a receipt back in to Kohl’s, spend more money and they’ll add them together so you can reach your KC limit. A Kohl’s associate told my mother that (who then told me). My mother ended up going to another Kohl’s store later and asking another associate who worked there and they also confirmed that.

  14. Jennifer G

Yeah!! I just scored the 3qt instant pot to add to my instant family and lip balm for $35 after all discounts and gift card. Plus I get $10 Kohl’s cash!!

  15. Andrea

Just scored the 6 qrt for $71.48! Plus $15 in Kohls Cash ($5 for picking up in store!) Thanks for the heads up on this sale! So excited!

    • Vanessa

Can you tell me..is there a promo to earn the $5 store pick up kohls cash that you mentioned, or will it apply automatically?

  16. abcpnqn

It won’t take the LOVED30 code for me.

    • Russ

      The code is LOVE30

  17. Jade

everything worked for me! cant wait to go pick up my 6qt one!

  18. Amanda Slavnic

I’ve been waiting to jump on the “pothead” wagon. Is there a big difference between the 7 in 1 vs the 9 in 1? Is it really worth the price?tia

    • Lisa

Me too, Amanda. Just been setting on the sidelines too. I read that term too about the “Potheads.” My friends have made some phenomenal recipes that they post on Facebook. French toast was the bomb looking one. I can’t wait to finally jump on that wagon, just too many decisions right now. Good luck in whatever you decide.

      • Amanda Slavnic

I agree, too many decisions. I guess you can’t really go wrong with any of them.
Thanks!! Good luck to you as well. I still haven’t decided which one to get:(

    • Kristen

I had this SAME problem ! So we JUST bought the 6 quart 9 in 1 from Williams Sonoma …. honestly they can do the EXACT same thing BUT the 9 in 1 has buttons that specifically say “eggs” or “cake” vs just pressing the manual button and cooking it the same length of time ! So save some money and get the 6 quart 7 in 1 it can do the same things just doesn’t have the specific buttons that label it. So far we LOVE ours 💖

  19. Workaholic

Is this a good gift for a friend? Thinking of getting it as a birthday present but I’m not sure if its birthday present material 😀

    • Idahomomof6

This would make a fantastic gift (as long as you know your friend doesn’t already own one)! I would be thrilled if someone gave this to me as a gift! If she seems unsure how to use or overwhelmed, be sure to tell her to join some of the Instant Pot Facebook groups. They offer a wealth of information on how to get started, and more recipes than one could ever attempt in a lifetime 🙂 I hope your friend realizes how blessed he or she is!

      • Workaholic

Thanks for the reply. I don’t want to be that person that gifts awkward presents haha. She doesn’t have one but she has mentioned it. I got her the 6qt so hopefully it will be big enough for her needs.

  20. DJ

The deals are really great for card members, but I will not be applying for any credit card. Happy shopping.

    • 🌺 Nolee 🌺

I understand not wanting a credit card. But it is super simple to pay it off as soon as you make a purchase. You can either pay it from the app, online, or do it right there in the store. As always, the trick it not to carry a revolving balance. Blessings!

  21. Ashley

Thanks for the post!!! Finally ordered one after months of debating. Now I need to figure out how it works.

  22. Diana Wai

I’ve been waiting for the 8 qt. Thanks so much!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Woohoo! You’re so welcome! Awesome you could score one! 😉

  23. Michelle C

What about the nuwave? That makes the 6 quart $49 after codes

  24. ProudMama

Oooohhhh!!! What a great time to snag one for my friend!!! She loves cooking, but doesn’t have one yet. Once she told me about this roast she was baking for 4 hours & had to finally take it out of the oven because her family couldn’t wait any longer for dinner! She said although the roast was good, it could have used more time. That’s when I knew I had to get her one when a sale pops up! Thanks for the post!!!

  25. bellwalker

Can anyone tell me the benefits of this over a regular crock pot? I’ve been seeing the IP everywhere lately.

    • Jade

You can cook way faster than in the crock pot!

    • Maggie

Crockpots tend to turn a lot of things to virtual mush — simmering in liquid for hours. Pressure cooking is a very different technique that creates a different flavor profile and texture. As for speed, I pressure cook potatoes and garlic cloves for mashing with just 5 min. of pressure. I can do a pot of brown rice in 18 min. of pressure (and it’s PERFECT rice). If I forgot to soak beans over night, I quick soak (boil a few minutes, soak an hour), then pressure cook, and it’s under 20 min (depending on type of bean). Add 10 min. for natural release of pressure with a traditional small pressure cooker pot (double that, for Instant Pot–it’s very slow to release). I actually get a lot more use out of my Magefesa European-style stove-top cooker — I use it ALL THE TIME.

      • bellwalker

        Thanks, Maggie and Jade!

  26. Lisa

Does anyone know what’s the largest size of the InstaPot they make?

    • 50ShadesofLipstick

8 qt. That thing is huge.

  27. Lisa

If you are using your Kohls charge, you can use another promo code (purple30) giving you 30% off, instead of the bigsavings code which is only 15%.

  28. 🌺 Nolee 🌺

Finally got one! Now to start searching for Keto Instant Pot recipes!! 😁

  29. Maggie

I forgot to note that her book notes both Instant Pot/electric cooker times, and traditional stove-top pressure cooker times (which are usually a little shorter).

  30. Amanda

Trying to order the 3qt instapot, non-kohl’s cardholder. Shipping is showing as $8.95. How do I get free shipping?

  31. Lori

I want to purchase the 8 qt, but when I went to the Kohl’s website only options were 3 or 6 qts. Did anyone else experience this?

    • TJ

Yes…I’m wondering if the 8qt. is sold out. Bummer. I have 4 kids so the 6qt. won’t be big enough.

      • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yea, I’m no longer seeing 8 quart. Sometimes they restock online, so you could check back.

  32. Aisha65

Hi guys, I’m not getting the $10 khol’s cash. Could anyone tell me what I need to do? I’m trying to purchase the 3 QT for $79.99 minus the 30% with the$10 discount plus the sales tax of $3.43 =$52.52 and I need $1.01 in order for the $10 khol’s cash. Could anyone help me please?

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Aisha65! You will still earn it. Note that you will earn $10 in Kohl’s cash even though your total is not quite at the $50 mark. For more information, go here.

  33. KellyS

    8qt is back online

    • Luv 🌺

Still no 8 Qt. I’ll keep checking 🌺
