Did you replace the light bulb? I have a similar one and we have to replace the light bulb about once a year.

I got one of these from Walmart. Its nice but it gets really hot on the bottom so you cant put it on carpet, I have to put it on top of a TV Stand in my room. It does heat a room well though.
