I do not recommend dyson. I find it quirky to use. When trying to use the wand it bends in half. This means it will not suck anything up. Also in order to use the cleaning wand you must unwind the entire cord. Also it is tricky to get it to stay standing. It is difficult to get it to lock in place. All in all these are not as user friendly as most traditional uprights. If you are going to spend the higher price tag you could get several of the cheaper models. I have a bissell one that I love but the one hose part broke after 5 years of daily use. I got a dyson because it was on sale. I regret it.

I have never been a fan of the unwinding of the cord just to use the extension, but most times I would end up needing the extra cord length anyway. If you end up buying the accessories kit w/ a hose extension, you can attach that to the top of the unit & avoid having to unwind the electric cord. Not the ideal solution, but the extra hose extension is very handy.

What I don’t understand with their supposed hundreds of engineers, is how they end up with a length of electrical cord that always seems to end up having to be anchored back to itself near the floor. Add +1.5 ft of length (or subtract I suppose), and I wouldn’t have to bend over to start unwinding. Guess they didn’t ask the janitor for his input

I got a refurbished cordless Dyson and hate it. I’ve had soo many issues with it clogging and no suction. I don’t know if it was refurbished or I’m just hard on it but it was only great the first 6 months or so. My husband likes to take it apart to unclog it after each use but, lol no thanks.

Dyson has free service maintenance centers all over the country. Maybe stop in and they can troubleshoot. The guy had an answer in 5 minutes, and I was done in about 15. Free.

    I recommend a Shark vaccum!
I am infatuated with trying new vaccum cleaners and everyone I know will ask me because they know about my vaccum obsession😅
I have tried the most expensive brands, the normal brands, and the unheard of brands (like my Kenmore vaccum)and I LOVE MY SHARK!!!!
