      Thanks for sharing, Weber14!

Has anyone tasted these? I remember reading one comment saying they were gross. But kinder chocolate is usually good?

    • sundowner2

I had one last night, and it was far better than I thought it would be. My boys love them.

    • Jaime

We just bought two today and I really liked the chocolate and so did my kiddo.

    • jeanette

      these taste really good

    • Sarianna

I thought the chocolate was pretty awful compared to actual Kinder Eggs. The toys are also significantly smaller. We (including one native Brit, who grew up with real Kinder Eggs) were very disappointed!

Oh, I agree, the toys in the Joy are nowhere near as nice as the Surprise. It amazes me the things we aren’t allowed to buy in the US, like Surprise, because we’re going to strangle our kids, but the things that an 18 year old can buy! I do like the chocolate better but the space of half an egg is so small the toys are ridiculous.

    • Barbara

You don’t really buy them for the chocolate. You buy them for the surprise toy. The chocolate is sumilar to Palmers chocolate.

    • Melanie

I thought they were delicious! (I’ve never had a real foreign Kinder egg though.) They’re made by Lindt, so they taste similar to the Lindor chocolates.

The chocolate is FAR superior to Canada’s Kinder Egg chocolate. I was surprised because I actually don’t like the Canadian eggs, so figured I wouldn’t like these either. I bought some for my son for Christmas and liked the candy more than he did!

    • Mouni

My son loves them. We used to get them when we lived in Germany. They used to be banned in the US because of the little toys that can cause a choking hazard. I’ve never had gross European chocolate BTW

  3. Vivi

Oh man I just bought some this morning…guess I’ll have to go back and get some more for my boys

  4. Michelle

I have family in Germany that sends us the regular eggs for holidays but I had bought these last year from India to try… my kids like these better because they taste just like a kinder hippo if you took it apart… I just thinks it’s funny to see these in all the stores now… it’s not as special when you don’t have to smuggle it in😂😂😂

  5. TanyaM

The brand is owned by Ferrero Roche which makes our beloved chocolates. I think the KinderJoy tastes like other FR products. Delish, my kids love it and my son doesn’t even care for the toy lol.

  6. Ailine

I’m so glad they are finally available in the US and I no longer have to hide them in my luggage when I return from
    Germany. They are absolutely delicious!!!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      LOL! Enjoy!

I wish so badly that one day they will sell actual kinder eggs in the us. I love them and only get them on a very rare treat when my sister flies out of the country:(:(

  8. Dutchie

These are by far not the same as the actual Kinder Surprise eggs that you can get in Germany. These taste like the Kinder Hippo’s , toys not as good as the original eggs. Not sure why the originals are banned from the US when now they have these ones here…. oh well. It still tastes good don’t get me wrong and still is a cute thing to give to a child( or adult😬). And still like the original ones better😊

can these be found at walgreens or cvs?
