This style is called a “sit on”. Your child would have to be small and possibly could sit on the round black hatch/storage cubbie between your legs. This style also has holes that can/does let a little water in and out, you can see 1 of the holes beside the round cubbie, so your child might get a little wet. We have “sit in” kayaks and love them…those might work better for you. It also depends on body of water you will be in. Sit on’s are better for oceans than sit ins. You’re welcome. They are great fun and good exercise. We have yaked in creeks, rivers, bays, springs, lakes. Great way to explore and learn with your child. In Jan we yaked with 100’s of manatees at Three Sisters Springs in Crystal River, FL. Bucket list ✔ck off. 😊 Wish I could attach a picture.
