Here we go with another Walmart Wednesday reveal! We shopped HARD this week to bring you the latest looks, and by hard I mean we skipped and danced down the shoe aisle as we spotted lots of new spring styles. And many styles may have made their way into my cart…😬

I honestly could not choose between all of the cute options and the prices rock, so I ended up buying a few pairs (as you can see above).

Check out this comparison! 😮

Look at the flats I received in my recent Stitch Fix box.

I mean, they are REALLY similar to these Time and Tru ballet flats, but you know what isn’t similar? The price! These Stitch Fix flats are over $50, and the Time and Tru flats – just under $13! 😮 Yes, the Stitch Fix flats have been sent back. Bubye. 👋

My sidekick Emily joined me this week in the Walmart Challenge, and we are both rocking the new styles of spring flats available!

Awwww, these are so cute but I live in a small village in New York home of the no walmart. So I’m thankful for online retail therapy.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

YES, online retail therapy ROCKS! 🙌

  2. cpnkay

Wednesdays are now one of my favorite days of the week because of this post! Those shoes are so cute!! I love the new Time and Tru brand, as well as the new Wonder Nation line for kids! Walmart has really stepped up their game in cute and affordable clothing!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

They sure have! I’m so happy you are loving this series, it is super fun!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay!! So happy to hear you are enjoying these posts. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  3. Nikki

I love the new Time and Tru brand at walmart! I have several tops and many are surprised when I tell them I bought them at walmart. Btw, I love these posts! I look forward to them every week.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks so much for letting us know what you think about the Time & Tru Brand! 🙂 I’m so glad you are enjoying the weekly posts!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the comment Nikki! I’m lovin’ the Time and Tru brand too – super cute stuff!

  4. Sara

The canvas sneakers at Walmart are under $6 and in my opinion are just as cute and comfortable as Keds! Some of the colors even come in wide!

  5. Heather

I’m curious what size of the leggings you ordered? I see size 3 is in stock but not sure if they will fit 🙂 thanks!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

HI Heather! Do you mean the super soft skinny jeans Collin is wearing?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Hi Heather,

If you’re referring to the skinny jeans I have on in the pics above, I am wearing a size 3. Hope that helps!

      • Heather

        Yes! Thank you!

  6. Colorado Amy

I love seeing the comparison of a Walmart item to a more expensive name brand, such as the flats that came in your Stitch Fix box. In one of your first Walmart Wednesday videos, you compared your Walmart shirt to an Anthropologie shirt. These posts make me want to run to Walmart and do some retail therapy.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yay!! Happy to hear that. And I totally agree, I think it’s fun to see comparisons. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  7. CO Mama

I too have found Time & True Shoes to be off sized 😒 I’m normally an 8 and 7 is too tight & 8 is too big. Need to buy some Dr. Scholes insets for them. Love the styles though!!! Actually just put together entire outfits for a family pic from Wally World! Loving Time & Tru!!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome idea for the family pic! Thank you for the feedback on the Time & True Sizing, we sure appreciate you sharing! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the feedback, and I love that you put together family pic outfits from Wally World! SO awesome!

  8. Jo

Totally getting those flats! Emily said she needed to size down. How about yours, Collin? They don’t have them in stores around me, so I have to order online.

    • Sarah

I bought the jewel pointed toe flats that Collin showed, I thought they were true to size. I wear a size 8 and bought an 8 🙂

      • Jo

        Thanks for the info 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, as Sarah mentioned, unlike Emily’s flats I actually felt like these really fit true to size. I wear an 8 1/2 and got these in an 8/12 – they seem to fit really well. Hope that helps!

  9. cpnkay

I hope Walmart will soon improve their online shopping. It’s very hard to narrow my shopping fields, and it feels very overwhelming to browse online through such a huge category. Selecting a size sometimes negates whatever I have previously selected (gender, age range, etc). I would probably shop there more if it was more user friendly.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn! I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had a bad experience with online shopping at Walmart. Thank you for the honest feedback!

  10. frugal lady2

I own boatneck top in black and love it! Please do keep up posting weekly Walmart deals coz I’m loving it! You guys are awesome with the look and all!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Isn’t that boatneck so cute? Thanks for the sweet comment, we sure appreciate it!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

SO happy to hear that!! Thanks so much for the comment!

  11. Nikki Tovar

Love Time & Try there jeans very comparable to Gap jeans if not just better for price. Washed multiple times, they do not fade & do not shrink! im a very thick girl and size was true to size as had some stretching but not to much. The shirts the same and very cute great material! Highly recommend

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

That’s great to know! Thank you for the super helpful recommendation on the jeans!

  12. Tricia

thanks for the post. I like Walmart- I really do. I am between 2 stores.. 20 minutes to either. I just get aggrivated because each store carries completely different things! I wish they were more consistant.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You’re so welcome! I’m sorry you’ve had inconsistency with your stores. 🙁

  13. e

The shoes may be cheaper in price, but how did the quality compare? I have similar shoes like the danskin ones, but sketchers. The D ones are comfortable, and I would have purchased, if I didn’t already have the S ones. Quality of the S shoes was worth the extra $.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

So far they are really comfortable, but I agree that the quality may not be as good as the $50+ ones. I guess time will tell as i continue to wear them and see how they hold up.

    • Molly

This was my thought too! I have bought off-brand knock offs before and had them fall apart after a season (looking at you adorable Target flats…)

  14. Gail

Love your Walmart Wednesday, great outfits and ideas. Thanks

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I’m so happy you are enjoying the Walmart Wednesday series! You’re very welcome! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks Gail! 😊

  15. Lisa

Funny that I came across this post. My mom just bought those flats but I’m black. She like them but she says the backs are rubbing on her ankles. Otherwise they are super cute and fashionable. I’m pretty sure she will stick with them until they’re broken in a little.

    • Dkp91576

I need coffee – I was really working my brain trying to figure out what you being black had to do with buying the shoes. Yeah my co-worker explained the typo. Hahahaha.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

So sorry they are rubbing on her ankles. Hopefully they will be better after a bit of wearing!

  16. Mrs.W

Could someone tell me what size Emily’s boatneck top is? I want to order one online and I’m not sure what size to get. Thanks so much for the post! I look so forward to your Wednesday video and post!

    • Colorado Amy

Mrs. W, I have the boatneck top and I bought a small. I’m 5’5″, 120 lbs. I washed it in hot and it shrunk just a little bit, which was my intent. It is still loose fitting on me and I like the way the fit.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

HI There! Emily is wearing a size small. 🙂 Hope that helps! 🙂

      • Mrs.W

Thank you so much Holly and Amy! That helps slot!😊

        • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

          You’re welcome!

  17. Shannon

What socks do you wear with the flats? I have those small weird oval socks but they always show through the sides of the shoe and get lost in the wash.

  18. K

Any chance you would do something like this with a less causal look? I can’t wear jeans or leggings to work and would love style ideas that were dressier. Maybe from jcp, Kohl’s.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

That’s a great suggestion! I will sure pass it along to the team!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Great idea! We will work on featuring some dressier looks in the coming weeks. Stay tuned…

  19. Maleeta

Very nice pictures ladies! I love the eyelet boat shoes, fingers crossed my Wal-Mart has them for $5. Good find – thank you!

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You are welcome! Let us know if you find them!

  20. Chris

I love those pointy flats! If I saw those in the wild, I would never have guessed they were from Walmart

  21. Renita

I am going to Walmart 2morrow, I hope they have the flats! I have bought the jeans and several t’s, love them…

  22. Shelly

Might be cheaper however the Quality isn’t the same

    • Rochelle

You’re paying for the brand name – it’s all made in China (no really – MIA’s own founder said in an interview that the move the Chinese production was inevitable). I’d take my chances on quality since I could buy 4 Chinese Walmart pairs at the same cost for one Chinese MIA pair.

      • MommySpendsLess

Rochelle – the country of manufacture isn’t synonymous with level of quality. Design, choice of materials and quality control processes are factors too.

    • MommySpendsLess

I have a pair of black pumps and a pair of black heeled boots that are my go-to for work. I wear them each 2-4 times/week until they wear out. I make sure they fit perfectly and pay more for higher quality. I also splurge on a higher quality, comfortable pair of flip flops (live in Florida). Any other shoes I buy would just be for occasional use to match with a certain outfit or to wear for a special occassion. In that case price is higher priority than long lasting quality.
      I’m glad consumers have options.

  23. Frances

I love these Walmart Wednesday posts

  24. Jennie

I love the Walmart post !!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks Jennie! We appreciate your feedback!

  25. Sarah O.

I have the pink sneakers that are in the back of the picture at the checkout and I LOVE them. I have a similar pair in black that are steve madden and a grey pair from payless and the walmart $12 ones are the most comfortable!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I’m so happy you are loving them! Thanks for the great feedback on these AND for the comparison! It’s great to hear!

  26. Michelle P

Love the Wal-Mart deals on Wednesdays. By the way I like the look of the Wal-Mart flats better than the stitch fix ones.

  27. Queenjen87

Your all’s outfits are very cute. I just have a very difficult time relying on quality from the w word. I had a pair of shorts from there once that literally came apart at the seams the first time I wore them…. not that I liked the company much before then, but even less so afterwards. Is it bad also that I’m so spoiled on good deals that $13 for shoes is steep to me? Lol.

  28. CateM

I picked up the shoes that Emily is wearing. I’m usually a size 7, but the 7 was a little too big on me so i got the 6, which fit perfect. Very nice shoes.
    Thanks Colleen!

  29. shelby smith

payless catered to the larger and wide size and walmart only goes to sz 11 maybe 11.5…payless catered to 13- 14 where no matter man or women they have a size for everyone if wal mart would carry up to that size then there tapping into the people that shops at payless…..just an idea…i could never find my size at wal mart….
