Do you have to dump the dirt and start the layers of soil etc. every year?

      • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I garden and usually you have to at least mix in some new nutrients or put in additives to the soil. The plants will use most of them up.

Howmany indeterminate tomatoes and pepper plants can you put in this?

    • Robyn

I had this set up in the planter last year, maybe it can help you?
      1 jalepeno plant
1 cilantro (ended up being choked out)
      1 cherry tomato
      1 beefsteak tomato
8 radishes (kept planting them through the season)

Hmm this is showing up at regular price for me ($29.98). I’m either missing something or it may be regional ☚ī¸.

Darn! I’m still seeing the sale price. are you able to try in another browser?

Perfect timing! We planted seeds in small peat pots and they are growing wayyy faster than I expected. I was just fretting over how many pots I’d have to buy 🙂

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      That’s a nice problem to have! 😉

This is a better price that last year. I think I paid $24.99. I planted 4 cherry tomato plants and I lost count of how many tomatoes I harvested. I still have some in the freezer.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wow, that’s awesome! One of my kiddos eats those like candy!

    • Barbara

Did you have to stake your cherry tomato plants?

  7. erin

Did you all buy all the required items listed in the instructions (fertilizer, etc?) Just wondering if they were all necessary?

  8. Angela

    Is this still available??

  9. DJ

Any deals on bigger sizes? I just searched and came across this post. I will buy the small one, but if I could go bigger, that would be great. I read I could use pallets as planters but they have to be heat treated versus chemical treated, how would I know which treatment method was used?
