Don’t have time to pick up your groceries?!

Walmart announced today that by the end of the year they will be offering grocery delivery services at over 800 of their stores in over 100 markets across the United States! That means that over 40% of Americans will have the opportunity to have their Walmart grocery orders delivered right to your door!

This is a great service for anyone who has a tough time getting out of the house like new moms or senior citizens.

And it’s super easy! All you’ll have to do is…
  • Visit Grocery.Walmart.com and enter your zip code to find the nearest store.
  • Add a minimum of $30 in groceries to your cart.
  • When you go to checkout select DELIVERY and pick the time window you would like your groceries delivered.
  • Pay for your order and patiently wait to have it delivered

Walmart has trained over 18,000 employees specifically to pick the best products for you, including fresh produce, meat, seafood and more. These employees are currently fulfilling orders for Walmart’s grocery pickup services and they will be picking orders for delivery services as well.

Once all your groceries are bagged up, a delivery service will bring your groceries directly to you! Note there will be a $9.95 fee that will be charged for delivery.

Who else is excited about being able to get their groceries without ever having to leave their house?!✋

My location starts delivering as of today!! Thank you! Please don’t leave any negative comments to this question, it’s not like I like that we have to use food stamps, but do you know if they accept EBT as a form of payment? I have three small kids and a car that works half the time and would be beyond thrilled to have groceries delivered.

    • Juma

Laura I just checked Walmart FAQ section on this and it states that currently they are only taking credit cards as payment. So it could change in the future. They don’t take gift cards either. By the way, no judgment here do what’s best for you and your household .

    • ANDREA MARTIN

No I dont think they will be able to accept EBT cards, its credit cards only.

Wal-Mart Free Grocery pickup has saved me so much difficulty this past 6 months! I have been pregnant and very very sick and have no idea how I would have done lengthy grocery trips on my feet. I have been able to just order groceries on the app from my phone and simply pull into a parking spot and pick them up! It is AMAZING for a busy/tired/sick mom like me! Best part is that its completely FREE, no extra charge for this service. Here is my link and you can get $10 off your first order! http://r.wmt.co/iglKT

I have been using the Wal-Mart pick up service for several months now….it is amazing! I have been sick and it has been a life saver. Not to mention it’s just been great for a busy family. Here’s my link too if that is ok: http://r.wmt.co/hSyG8. Thanks!!!

When i look at walmart.com for online groceries, I noticed that they charge more online for the stuff I usually but in stores. Is that true? I never bought groceries online before.

    • Grocery picker upper

They do charge higher prices when u get grocery items shipped but if u do free store pick up the prices usually match the in store prices.

    • Pinkchick82686

Prices are always the same as if I walk into the store and you can copy the tc number into saving catcher and Walmart gives your money back after comparing prices to other stores. I love Walmart pick up. Also if they don’t have say the Walmart brand of something they give you the name brand for their price. What else could we ask for? No complaints

I love Wal-mart pick up service. My produce has always been super fresh. I love how easy it is to stay within my grocery budget when I use the app. Please use my link to get $10 off your first order http://r.wmt.co/igoT_ .

When picking up, I wonder if they take the first box off the shelf or if they look for the farthest out expiration date. I know expiration/best by/sell by/use by dates are misleading, but my mom cares. Do they open egg cartons to make sure none are cracked? Also, my mom’s biggest grocery pet peeve is when cashiers grab loaves of bread in the middle and squeeze.

    • Kelly M

I have actually received a couple of things that were expired, and a lot of My bakery/produce items expire the day after. I’ve never received broken eggs, but she can always check when they are putting them in the car.

    • Juma

Omg I can relate to that expiration dates is big pet peeve. I also can’t stand for food items to be put in the same bags as cleaning supplies. So I put my items on the belt they way I want them bagged, no need in my fruit smelling like my dryer sheets.

Would love to just pay $9.99 for this service, but online grocery prices are much higher than in-store prices (where I live, at least). This goes for the curbside pick-up, as well.

  8. Mom Of 3 In Beaverton, OR

I have only done the grocery pick-up twice but I LOVE IT. The prices are the same and I am even able to save more money because I am not blocking an isle looking for the best deals. It is so easy to price compare and I have not noticed prices being any higher as some has mentioned. I love how I can easyly track how much I spend. If I want to stay within a certain budget it is so easy to do. I can also easily delete items if I need too. The only negative is that the pick up times are limited. And I wish you could order MORE that just groceries… that would be amazing!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks a bunch for sharing your thoughts on this service and how it has worked for you! I am super eager to try it out as my store will be offering it very soon! Yay!

    • Pinkchick82686

I order all kinds of things. One day I picked up 4 Rubbermaid totes and nothing else

This message is for Laura. You have three small children to feed, and there is nothing wrong with food stamps. If someone has a problem with it, then it’s his/her problem. Many single and former single Mom’s/Dad’s out there and couples who work diligently for low wages to provide for their children and do what they can to ensure their children are fed. Sending you my best wishes.
