We got these a few weeks ago and the house is really nicely designed and sturdy. My very tall 6 year old had plenty of room inside and even slept in it a couple of nights.

I got it back out this year and she loves it, wants to “work” on it all the time. She even remembers it from last year. If nothing else it’s a large space they can color with crayons and you don’t have to worry about it. I would say grab one 🙂

Our kids loved the one we had. They played with it for a year in the basement.

From past experience buy the house, hours of enjoyment!! Just make sure to buy large tip markers!!!

Just got home and put it together. I had to pry my 5 & 7-year old away from their colors to go to bed. Definitely worth going back to get a few more for the gift closet.

The house was much bigger than I realized. So, it didn’t fit in the place we put it together. Putting it together was challenging. The coloring portions are huge! My gkids felt overwhelmed. Buy very big markers. My gkids got bored with it quickly as far as the coloring portion. They did enjoy the house itself.

Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! Sorry to hear it was larger than expected, but happy they enjoyed the house itself! I have been meaning to score one for my Nephew who would enjoy playing in it.

We got the Pirate ship and my daughter loved it!! Hard to put together but in the end it was worth it.

My in laws bought this house for my 3 year old and 1 year old. It was way bigger then I imagined and my kids love to color but there was so much coloring to do we put it together with it not really colored. I think we had it a week before I threw it in recycle. It’s cardboard so once my 1 year old discovered she could climb in it that was it. Maybe a good idea for older children definitely not for my aged children.

I’ve been large cardboard coloring houses for years! I have 10 nieces and nephews and I just bought my 5th coloring house this past Christmas. He’s five and still playing with it regularily! He and my dad spent a full day using other cardboard boxes to build a kitchen inside the house – so he built a stove and sink hung a microwave from a window opening. Hours and hours and hours of fun. Even the cat likes it.

We have decorated card board boxes with paint. Much easier then markers.

Thank you for sharing this! I made a special trip to michaels for these and some $1 wooden frames I’ll have the kids paint. I’m stocking up on projects for spring break!
I got the rocket ship and pirate ship for my daughters and, based on reviews, will make sure we have enough paint to paint them. I didn’t even think to check the size, but I guess we’ll make it work!

The Creatology Color Pirate Ship has the worst assembly directions ever. There is no numbering of the various cardboard pieces. The pictorial instructions are very unclear on which piece attaches to which piece. If it were not for the picture on the box it came in it would almost impossible to figure it out.

Come on manufacturer you can do better than this!
