If you add stuff to your cart and doesn’t qualify will it let you know? I know they have some good deals going on right now.

    • Michelle Price

The $50 comes in the form of a statement credit, so it won’t show up as a discount, but you should see it on your statement. I did not see any mention of the promotion at checkout even on qualifying items, but you can find it on the Costco site in the liink above along with all of the promotion details.

great deal, my personal recommendation on a product avaialble at costco.com is the Tatcha Pore Perfecting Sunscreen. Normally $65 at Sephora and Tatcha website, only $39.99 at Costco. I have combination skin and this is the best, most soothing sunscreen ever. Definitely stocking up with the Visa Checkout deal avaiable.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh awesome! Thanks a ton for the recommendation! I will have to check that out Katy! 😉

  3. Jacquie

Would this work on gift cards ?

    • DJ

Offer valid March 26, 2018 through March 28, 2018, while supplies last. To qualify for the $50 statement credit, a Costco member must make a single purchase of $250 or more and pay using an eligible Visa card with Visa Checkout on Costco.com between March 26, 2018 and March 28, 2018. The following Visa cards are not eligible: Visa Buxx, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Visa cards, EBT Visa cards and other Visa-branded cards whose transactions are not processed through the Visa U.S.A. payment system. Limit one (1) statement credit per card and per member. Not valid for orders at the online pharmacy, Costco Travel (Costcotravel.com), Costco Business Delivery (Costcobusinessdelivery.com), CostcoGrocery Same-Day powered by Instacart (sameday.costco.com) or the online Costco Photo Center (costcophotocenter.com). The statement credit will be applied to your Visa account balance approximately 6-8 weeks after the qualifying purchase. The statement credit may not be applied if within that time your account is not active or in default. Visa or Costco may terminate this offer at any time without notice.

I wonder if we could buy gift cards. Anyone know? it doesn’t say excludes gift cards. 🙂

    • nk

      what to buy

    • PAfab5

I could not get the discount to work when tried to by gift cards…anyone else get it to work

      • lenin1991

It’s not a “discount”, it’s a statement credit that will post to your Visa in several weeks

    • Kyliejay!

      That’s what I did!

  5. DJ

Overhead garage organizers are a great option for this deal. Buying a couple of them would get me organized and get me $50 off.

  6. Meh

“Behind the times” question here: how do you set up Visa Checkout?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi there! When you head to checkout and select “Visa Checkout” as your payment option, you can create a Visa Checkout account when you click on “learn more”. It is free and you can use any major debit or credit card. Hope that helps!

  7. sara

keep in mind, this comes out to be 20% off, so only buy if you know you can’t get the thing for more than 20% less somewhere else 🙂

    • Saver

      Very nice tip.
Usually other retailers increase the $ amount to %off and we think we got great deal. LOL

  8. Mhambrick25

Great deal! I bought the Nest thermostat which is already on sale, along with a few small items I’ve had my eye on.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sweet! Happy you were able to grab the savings!

    • cindy b

Check with your local utility to see if there is a rebate for the Nest, too. If so, you’ve done a fabulous job stacking savings!

  9. Dana

How long does it take to see the statement credit? I purchased a $300 cash card but the 50 $ wasn’t taken off in the shopping cart, I expect it will be show up the on the statement shortly?

    • Beth

It says approximately 6-8 weeks before the credit shows up on your statement

      • Kristin

Can some explain what it means when says statement credit? Does that mean it will show up on my credit card account as a credit (like a returned item would) or what does that mean exactly? Or will have to purchase something for $50 using Visa Check out to be able to redeem the credit? I have clearly never used visa check out. Just trying to understand if it would be worth it for me. TIA!

        • lenin1991

It will be a credit on your Visa statement, just like a return

    • cindy

Was the a Costco cash card?

      • dana

Yeah, that’s what I bought but I have no validation if it worked or not! We’ll see I guess.

  10. kathy

Is this available if you have a visa logo debit card? I wasn’t sure if that was the same thing as an EBT card……. :/

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Kathy! Here is the list of excluded cards – “The following Visa cards are not eligible: Visa Buxx, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Visa cards, EBT Visa cards and other Visa-branded cards whose transactions are not processed through the Visa U.S.A. payment system.” Hope that helps!

    • lenin1991

Debit will work. An EBT card is what’s used now for welfare / food stamps.

  11. Heidipgale

    What is the expiration?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

This offer is valid through March 28th 🙂

  12. cindy

Is the Costco VISA card eligible for use through VISA checkout? It doesn’t exclude it.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

It seems that it should be eligible as I don’t find it listed in the exclusions!

  13. luna

Doesn’t mention anywhere if gift cards are excluded…has anyone succeeded

  14. Jocelyn

Does anybody know how much is shipping? Is jewelry included? Also movie tickets?

    • sara

I ordered $250 in cash cards and $14.99 on some organic cotton towels. Tax was $1.08 and shipping was $1. hope that helps 🙂

  15. Josie

Just to make sure everyone is aware — this isn’t as simple as using your Costco Visa to pay for purchase. You have to sign up for Visa Checkout which is a service of Visa on a separate website.

    • Michelle Price

That’s correct Josie! Visa Checkout is a service you have to sign up for. I’ll add to the post to make sure that’s clear. Thanks!

      • kimberly

When it says statement credit, does it show up on your visa linked to the visa check out? So if I choose my visa debit card and link it to visa check out, then I’ll get a credit back to my visa debit card via visa checkout? I know its confusing.

        • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes! It appears so. Here are the details on that in the fine print – “To qualify for the $50 Statement Credit, you must use an eligible Visa card and make a single purchase of $250 or more with Visa Checkout on Costco.com between March 26, 2018 and March 30, 2018. To receive the statement credit, the Account must be enrolled in Visa Checkout.”

  16. Jocelyn

Please help right now google chrome is discouned price at costco. Does anybody knows if this is included?y son needs this for school. Thanks

  17. Aunt Jenny

The Whynter Ice cream maker is on sale for $239.00, I just happened to search for it yesterday and re watched your Facebook live video too. I keep trying to talk myself out of adding it to my cart and adding something else to get me over the $250.00 mark so I can use Visa check out .
Do you still LOVE the Ice cream maker?

  18. Paula

I was able to chat online with Costco and they confirmed Gift Cards are ok.

    • Kim

      Cool, thanks for confirming!

    • Jocelyn

      Thanks for the info 😘

    • Wren

Wow!! That is awesome. Thanks Paula!

    • Dexteroni

      Are Costco Cash Cards included?

  19. Sarah

Thank you for posting! I will be taking advantage of this deal!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re most welcome Sarah!

  20. llc

Do you have to be a member? I was until last year and you can still shop online without being a member.

    • Jean

llc…It states”The statement credit may not be applied if within that time your account is not active or in default”

      • lenin1991

That refers to your Visa card needing to still be active in several weeks.

This promo appears to impose no additional restrictions on Costco membership for purchase.

  21. Moni B.

There’s furniture at my local Costco that I’d like to buy that’s not available online. Since Paula asked Costco and gift cards are included, I’m hoping buying $250+ in GC’s and then taking them to my local store to buy the furniture will work! Thank you H2S!

  22. Maggie

Will this still generate the 2% back for Costco purchases using the Costco Visa, if it goes through Visa Checkout?

  23. Kale

So I purchased exactly 250.00 in cashcards, is there anyway to verify that I will get the 50 dollars cashback? I signed up and payed for it with visa checkout but didn’t receive or notice a confirmation

    Thanks

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Be sure to check your account within the next 6-8 weeks. Hope that helps!

  24. Jean

Thanks so much for this and so many of your deals. They make our hard earned money stretch so much further. Yay! Hip2Save!!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thank YOU for the sweet comment, Jean! You are very welcome! 🙂

  25. jill

just clicked link and it says no longer available 🙁

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Darn! Thanks for the heads up!

      • lenin1991

        Still appears live to me…

      • Liz

I see nothing stating this is expired when I use the link. It appears to still be available…

  26. Sarah

It appears to be still valid?? Nothing I can see makes it look like the offer has expired.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh bummer. It is still showing “offer no longer available” now as I click through. Thanks for sharing!

  27. Amanda

Hi! It’s been 8 weeks since I made my purchase. Should we contact Costco, google checkout or our credit card company if we didn’t receive the credit?

    Thanks!

  28. Hanh

I received my $50 credit today on my Visa CC since doing the promo in March. It really works!
