I have a love hate relationship with dollar tree. So much junk that breaks or doesn’t work right in the first place. Often you get what you pay for & half of my purchases always end up in a landfill.
There is a bunch of junk, but If you are there often enough, you can usually tell the good from the bad… Fresh food items (bakery) are great, coffee mugs, Betty crocker kitchen items, all the school teacher items are great! Cheap classroom decorations that last an entire year just for a buck! Laminate them and you keep them for years!
Dollar tree is also my go -to for trips. They have small items that keep kids busy and i don’t bother trying to look for them if they get misplaced. Tiny 8pack play dough, marker sets, playschool large glue, paint, etc.
Sometimes you can find a good deal. Holiday decorations are always good but the toys are usually junk!
We have some Dollar Tree Favorites. (We also have some Dollar Tree fails.) We Like Dollar Tree.

nice post, this will be my one new reason to re-visit dollar tree (hundredth time 🙂 ). The store is very close to my house and I visit often to keep track of best ones. I always end up buying more than I wanted though. Recently I discovered a new way to keep my pocket in control. If I plan to go to dollar tree, I carry only some dollar bills (upto 5 or 10) and keep all my other cards at home. This way I get to buy my planned items, and keep my budget. ( If there is really interesting, I can come back next day, thats other way though)
