My daughter LOVES the jelly shoes- we had the coral
Ones last year and I found out last week they had them again and still in here size (12) and for only $5a they’re easy to get on and off and to clean-
Plus cute enough to dress up or down

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

I agree Alex! LOVE the Jelly shoes! Thanks for the feedback!

  2. Robyn

I work for Walmart so I see tons of deals today I got my daughter a new bathing suit for our Disneyland trip and I only paid 6.98

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Nice!

The jelly shoes had high levels of lead last year…

    • Rochelle

A simple Google search shows that this is rumor… Lead isn’t absorbed through the skin anyway, and I hope to goodness no ones kids are sucking on their shoes.

      • Lana

Lead IS absorbed through the skin.

        • Kay

“Lead can be absorbed into your body by inhalation (breathing) and ingestion (eating). Lead (except for certain organic lead compounds not covered by the standard, such as tetraethyl lead) is not absorbed through your skin. ” – OSHA. And my husband is a chemist and says that organic lead compounds are rarely used in pigments.

The canvas shoes are cute. We got our daughter 2 pairs but they’re made a bit wider than other shoes and fall off. I had to sew on elastic so her foot won’t fall out.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for sharing how those have fit her Amanda! Good to know!

  5. Jeanette

    Nice selection for boys.

Am I the only one imagining the light colors on the unicorn and fox getting dirty immediately unless you have a non-crawling and non-walking baby? And with the cotton material, it’s not like you can wipe it off. Could wash it in the machine, but I’m thinking would come out grayed still. Too bad cause they’re so cute!

    • Jessica

They do I bought them and I have to throw them in the wash after my baby wears them every time and the soles wear down easy but she wears them with her unicorn shirts

    • Maleeta

Unicorn shoes probably wouldn’t be for the park. But all my canvas shoes I use laundry soap, water, baking soda, peroxide and a toothbrush and they always look new

      • Jen D

Do you mix all those ingredients and then scrub? Or use them in a certain order? I’d love to know your trick

        • Maleeta

Jen – I always make sure shoes are dry. If they have any dust or dirt I use a scrub brush dry and get any excess anything off. Sometimes if there is a spot I will spray peroxide and dab. Mix 1 TBL water, 1 TBL vinegar, 2 TBL baking soda, tsp clear detergent or borax. Makes a paste that you scrub on with a brush, I use old toothbrushes. Rinse, towel pat, then air dry. The white rims on canvas shoes I run nail polish remover around and it makes them glowing white. Hope that helps!

    The shoes are very cute

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yes! SUPER cute! Makes me miss my kiddos being that little! 😉

  8. Shannon

What size do those animal shoes go up to? They are so cute!

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Aren’t they so cute? It looks like they go up to a size 6. 🙂

  9. Annabellm

What about amazon finds for clothes?! Sometimes it hard to tell which sellers have quality clothing, but I know they have some cute things!

    • Shannon

Are there good deal on amazon right now?!

    • Rachel

I have founderstood some great clothes on Amazon. So far my favorites have from Styleword and Lovezesent . I bought some dresses with pockets (which I love) and without from them. I always receive tons of complements when I wear them. The most expensive one was 29.99 (it was long sleeve and all the way to the ground), but the others were under 20 and one even came with a free shirt (it was a promo deal) , which I also love.

  10. Mollie

Since the Walmart series has been posting. I have been shoe shopping like mad. I am putting them in the back of my closet, so when I do wear them and he ask are those new , I can honestly say no

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      LOL! Smart idea Mollie! 😉

Sooo cute! I wish my kiddos were little still so they could wear these! I did get the flats Colin has been wearing and raving about and they are sooo cute and comfy! The shoes at Walmart lately have been cute and you can’t beat the price!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Same here! Glad you have been enjoying the flats too!

  12. Maleeta

Unicorn shoes probably wouldn’t be for the park. But all my canvas shoes I use laundry soap, water, baking soda, peroxide and a toothbrush and they always look new

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for the helpful tip on how to wash them!

  13. Girllll

I don’t think people have problems with Walmart because of the prices though. If anything, the super low prices are part of the reason people don’t like Walmart ethically

  14. Anutka07

I bought these cat and pink bear canvas ones for my baby girl! she’s a size 4. I loved the fact that they are so light and bend with the little tiny foot. and $5 you ant go wrong! I have already washed them twice since they are her everyday shoes right now and they’re light color. So I totally recommend them 💖

  15. Lynne

I bought the dinosaur ones for my son. He has a wide foot and I wasn’t sure how well they would fit, but they fit fine. Can’t beat $5. Now if I could only get him to leave them on. He would rather wear nothing =)

    • Courtney

My 18 month old son doesn’t leave his shoes on either! He has the shark ones. I’ve tried shoes that slip on, shoes that tie…everything and he wiggles his little foot out of them all. He doesn’t like socks either. lol
