I bought this elsewhere, for about the same price, because my 4 year-old iPad was out of storage space (16 gb WiFi) and I didn’t want to spend hundreds on a new one. Is this as good as an iPad? No. Its shape is a bit too long and skinny for its weight and I miss being able to close apps with just brushing my hand across its surface. But, do I regret the purchase? No. For a relatively low price, I got an expandable machine that is responsive, easy on my eyes at night, and which has Alexa capability (when I choose to turn it on).

I absolutely love the fire 8 for my kids. The only problem that i run into is most downloads are android or Google, or iPad. It never supports Amazon. Amazon blocks outside downloads. So if I want to buy a robotic smart controlled toy I am having issues downloading the program. I have considered getting an iPad, but that is steep for child use. Does anyone know a way around this?

We finally did this a few months ago, kids are excited for Mario and all the other Google play games?

You can sideload the Google app store and apps, but be aware that it is similar to jail breaking your phone and will void the warranty.

Will it void the accident warranty? Like if its dropped the software shouldn’t matter I would hope. I bought one and planning to add the Google store
