Does anyone have any experience with these? Some people like the grill marks, and these mats seems like they eliminate that. Looks like these would be useful for things that drips or small enough to fall through.

They are wonderful, we love to use them…

I don’t know about this brand but I do bbq with grill mats. Chicken and meat come out juicier and I find it easier to clean the mat than the grill.

How neat! I have not yet tried them, but sure plan to now! Thanks for sharing Lel!

I like using them for my hamburgers
    Or fish
Great for food items that could fall thru grates

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh yes! I bet that these would be helpful for small items. I’m always so disappointed when they fall through the grates! LOL!

I have the copper mats, and i like them for grilling veggies and chicken. But not burgers. I use a cast iron grill so they get nice and crispy on the outside. but the mats didn’t have the same effect and the burgers were too greasy. I tried another time, thinking the first time the mats weren’t hot enough. But no. I’ll stick to my cast iron for burgers. Have not used the mats for steaks yet so IDK how those turn out.

    • Toby

I never thought to use cast iron on a grill. Will try it next time I make burgers.

I’ll keep my grill marks, as long as they’re not too dark. Slightly off topic, as far as the picture goes, did anyone else notice that really thick burger in the forefront, but normal thickness burgers for the 2 in the back? Just odd. I use a burger press and absolutely love it.

    • Beth

Haha! I didn’t catch that. That is really odd.

I ordered a set from Home Depot for my husband for a father’s day gift. Thanks for the heads up.

Such a great idea for Father’s day! You’re welcome!

I noticed Aldi will have something similar available this week. I heard that the grill marks still appear. I’ve not used a grill mat so I can’t confirm if it’s true.

These are coming up at 9.99 today on Amazon. Deal must be expired.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Yup, I see that too. Thanks Lyn!
