Does anyone know the PA State Laws for a car seat? My son is getting too big for his current car seat. He is 4 and about 40 pounds.

Check out the Cisco Finale 2 in 1. They’re very reasonably priced and have the 5-pt harness up to 65lbs and then transitions to a high back booster to use with a seatbelt. My four year old twins are in these now, they’re 42 & 50lbs.

Just wanted to chime in that height also matters when looking for higher limit harnessed boosters. Many manufacturers highlight the weight when in many cases, some children outgrow the seat’s harnessed height limit (usually 49 or 50 in.) before they reach the weight limit. For the combo seats, they can be converted to regular booster mode when that happens, but just wanted to point this out for those who are looking to keep their child harnessed longer. I always get so excited when i see recommendations of lower priced alternatives but then often the height limit doesn’t work for us. I’m open to suggestions but so far the highest capacity 5 pt harnessed seat i’ve found are the more costly britax pioneer/frontier/pinnacle.

No but at 4 and 40 lbs I would still have my child in a 5 point harness much safer
