Target’s Car Seat Trade-In Event Starts April 22nd = 20% Off New Car Seat, Travel System & More
Starting April 22nd and running through May 5th, Target will be hosting their popular Car Seat Trade-in Event.
Simply bring in any used car seat to your local Target store and trade it in for a coupon good for 20% off any car seat, booster seat, car seat base, travel system or stroller valid in store or at Target.com. This 20% off coupon will be valid through May 19th.

What happens to all those car seats they collect?
Target is teaming up with Waste Management, who will recycle the parts to create new things like grocery carts, plastic buckets and construction materials.
I ordered Hunter boots for my kids on Saturday. Just got an email from Target saying due to high demand, they cancelled my order!! I’m so mad! Did that happen to anyone else?

ugh, last year they did it in April and September, and I hadn’t heard anything yet so I JUST recycled them at a recycling event four days ago. 🙁
This 20% off coupon is good, it always pays to know the going rates. I think when Babies R Us did this people said they jacked up the prices, but Target should be ok.
You can just get it from buy buy baby for 20 percent off. They have coupons all the time.

You don’t know the history of used seats. They could have been in an accident or someone could have washed the seating pads incorrectly. You can’t wash the straps and most pads can’t go in the dryer.
I think she means to use as the trade-in so she can get a coupon.

Yes. You can use both coupons.
Yes! You will head to customer service. The details list – “All stores, excluding the small-format stores, are participating in the program.” And “Target will have drop-off boxes for guests’ unwanted car seats located near Guest Services. You can pick up a coupon from Target Guest Services, which will be located near the drop-off boxes.” Hope that helps!
Think I can count on them to do this again in the fall? Need a car seat in October so it’s a lil early to buy and store it now.
Does anyone know if they accept just a car seat base to get the coupon? I bought extra bases for different cars.
I just looked on the FAQ and it mentioned both car seats and bases. So you should be able to get the coupon with an old car seat base.
Is anyone planning to recycle their carseat or base that doesn’t need the coupon? If so I am looking for one! I heard you can use it online and so you could just email me the coupon code so you don’t have to ship it. Thank you in advance if you do… my email is triplea06@outlook.com
