Strawberry shortcake here I come lol..😁
YUM! 😉
What a neat idea! I think I need one
Would I use garden bed soil or planter soil? I have never heard of this company. Does anyone have any experience with them? Thanks
Click on the Amazon link in the post, there are reviews there.
Container/potting soil. Garden soil is only meant for in ground use, as it is too heavy & doesn’t have enough drainage.
The benefit to fabric pots is that it creates a root pruning process & prevents roots circling around a container. When a root reaches the side of the bag, rather than continuing to circle, it stops growing and tells the plant to great new more central roots.
If someone was really interested I have about 100 of various sizes of these bags. Strawberry, rail planters, mini multi spot herb ones, 5gal colored bags. I would for sure beat their prices. Would only do if you wanted 10+,. 616grr at Gmail
How much for the strawberry bags, Adam? How much for shipping? And are the bags used or new? Thank you!
Hi Adam,
I know strawberry is growing every year once planted. Do you have to replace the soil every year in the bag?
thanks,
Caroline

Silly question… so what do you do with all the soil after the drowning season is over? Can it be reused or just dumped?
not a silly question! Technically, plants will absorb nutrients and nutrients will get washed away over the course of the growing season.Ideally you would mix compost into last year’s soil and then plant again. However, if that’s getting into too many complexities (space, physical abilities, access to compost, etc) as long as there weren’t signs of disease/pests you can put the “used” soil in a place that doesn’t need high nutrients (ie established flowers, landscaping, etc.) and put new, fresh, potting soil in every year. Again, ideally, you would mix in organic compost and reuse but, if not feasible, use purchased organic potting soil.
Just ordered one. Thank you!!
You’re welcome Shea!
