    • Bryn (Sister Sidekick)

Awesome! Thanks for the positive feedback, Nicole!

  2. Lel

It looks like $59 + shipping but ebates is 7.5%

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Thanks for the heads up Lel! We are updating the post now!

    • Liz Bishop

Thanks! I was about to check out, scrolled down and saw the ebates deal so I closed my window, went through ebates and got 7.5% back!

  3. MaddMomma

Yay!! Been waiting for a good discount on this!!! Had mine done and want to buy one for a relative. Thanks!!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Oh perfect! Super glad this popped up for you today! You’re welcome!

  4. Kristina

I am very interested in Genealogy and did my DNA testing through Ancestry. It has been awesome. I have found relatives who turned out to have photographs of my dad’s uncles that he had never seen. It has been very, very fun and exciting for us. I thoroughly recommend it!!!!

  5. Casey

I bought these for myself and my parents last year. So fun!

  6. Lauren

My mom was just saying that my aunt, her sister, just did this and loved the experience! My mom was nonstop talking about this…mother’s day gift done! I think she’ll be so excited!! I think I might get one for my dad too and he can have an early Father’s day present!

Does it happen to give you info on common health issues found in your dna makeup?

    • Amy

No 23andme does that if you get the health and dna combo ($199). I have done 23andme and ancestry.com and it’s hard to decide which is better. The 23andme is neat because of the health info. option and they keep updating me about my dna results as they get more dna samples. Neither one will let you download your raw data to their site of course šŸ™ but waiting for sales for both is the way to go imo

      • Karla

I did the 23&me health kit and WAS able to download my raw data. I used the knowyourgenetics.com directions to find my raw data. Iā€™ve been sick for several years and was going to numerous specialists. They kept wanting to put me on another pill which didnā€™t help and actually made things worse. Finally, a Neurologist told me she used the 23&me health kit to discover the supplements she needed and significantly improved after getting the results. I tried it and am already feeling better than I have in years! The kit and supplements were much cheaper for me than going to doctors/buying prescription drugs. I hope this helps you locate your raw data. Btw, Amazon occasionally has the 23&me health kits for around $158.

        • Amy

I have my raw data for both but I meant you can’t download to 23andme to ancestry and vice versa. I have the health kit from 23and me because I am part of a study on bipolar disorder and there are no recommendations for supplements on their site or a way to find out that info. Do you have more info on how you found out what to take?

  8. Momofpayton

I looked and looked for a coupon code and couldnā€™t find one. Finally checked out 2 days ago and now itā€™s on sale. Ugh! Mine hasnā€™t even arrived yet. Wonder if they would give me a price adjustment?

    • lisa

Well I called and they WOULD NOT give me a price adjustment. Very frustrating and disappointing since they sent me several emails to checkout and then two days later they have $20 off. I will not be ordering again from here.

      • Chris

Check with your credit/debit card company and see if they have a price protection guarantee. If they do please let us know so others will try also. It’s worth a shot. Good luck

    • Mom Of 3 In Beaverton, OR

Why would you be upset? This doesnā€™t seem like it would be the companies problems. I know stores will sometimes do price adjustments but I donā€™t think it should be expected. Seems a lil entitled.

  9. hip2trade

I think it is fascinating and have been wanting to try it. Just a bit concerned though after some of the issues I read about these companies selling the DNA profiles and other things. I’m not sure of everything but found out this on a news report on t.v a few months back.

    • Jackie

I have also heard that and THAS why I am NOT doing this ever. It sounds fun but I don’t like having my info out there like that. It’s just creepy

    • My Mocha

Yes. I saw this too. The investigative news said that they can sell our DNA to pharmaceutical companies for cures, etc and in turn, we the consumers don’t get anything.
It was in the Sheryl Atkinson show Full Measure. Here’s the link: https://fullmeasure.news/news/terrorism-security/dna-database

Although ancenstrydna isn’t listed there but still…

      • *Angela-Miles*

        Same here!!

    • Jefferysgirls

I love the idea but Iā€™m not going to pay for the US to have my DNA

  10. Renae

How convenient….they get your DNA and you actually PAY for it! Wake up people

  11. celticmommie

I would love to do this but I just can’t get over the privacy issue. Just seems too risky to give your DNA out like that.

  12. Angela

I’m thinking about this & noted that right now on Amazon 23&me plus health is only $139 (regularly $199), so this may be a good deal.

  13. Rebecca

    People worry far too much…

  14. Jessica

We bought our AncestryDNA kit for $29 on ebay! They had tons!

  15. Yar

I will love to do this and giving the great price is so temping, however, I had other priorities…May be next time. Many people I know have done this and are very satisfied with the results.

  16. Jessica

I found my biological dad and family through ancestry.com. I recommend this DNA test to everyone. It literally changed my life.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

That is so wonderful, Jessica! Thank you for the recommendation!

  17. Jstbeachy

For those that have ordered in the past How long from the time you place your order does the kit arrive?

    • Quelley

It was 3 or so weeks before the kit arrived. I got an email telling me when to expect it.

  18. Jstbeachy

Thank You Hoping it arrives before Motherā€™s Day

  19. Leslie

You can run the raw data through promethease and get a wealth of information regarding your own DNA and what medications to avoid, how to know which vitamins to take, etc… with the raw data. Youā€™re going to have to be proactive in this, it can influence how you care for your health – not how you let someone else ā€œmanageā€ you. Itā€™s literally the blueprint for your own specific set of genes.
I had mine done and any benefit outweighs the negative. I have Lyme and depression issues & have used it to determine which supplements and forms of vitamins to take to maximize my health. I have been a better person for it.

    • smithjohnson16

With ancestry dna or a different one?

  20. apwade21

    THanks

    • chrisdefay

This link does not work. I DID NOT get $10 off the sales price.

  21. Amy

Oops, I didnā€™t think it posted on my app, so I logged into the site to post again. Sorry for the double post. šŸ™ƒ

  22. Dragonfly121204

23 and me is 30% off too, for those of you wanting that one instead.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Thanks for the heads up!
