Effective May 11th, the price of a new Amazon Prime Yearly Membership is increasing from $99 to $119 per year – bummer! 😩 This means you’ll now be paying an extra 20% per year for your Amazon Prime benefits.
If you have an existing Amazon Prime Yearly Subscription, your cost for renewing will increase to $119 starting June 16th.

My subscription isn’t up for renewal until end of November. I won’t be charged the new rate until November not in June correct?
That is correct. You won’t be charged the new rate until you renew again.
Does anyone know if the Family & Friends benefits will stay with this new rate? I’m able to get free prime shipping from a friend now.

Same here. Quit my membership a while back, and I shop elsewhere whenever I can.
Amazon is convenient in many ways, but service and product quality will only get worse if they keep buying out or keep suffocating smaller businesses. The produce is getting worse at my local Wholefoods, Amazon stopped price matching, etc.
Just canceled my membership,Didn’t use much,I dont know why but I find their website difficult to use as compared to other websites.
Think I will cancel…….with a TARGET. RED CARD. I GET FREE SHIPPING, and Walmart has free shipping on some items too!
