How much are adult tickets for this?

    • Melody

Everyone pays the same price! πŸ˜€

I understand this is fun and all and gets you out of the house but we own the movies listed. You could totally do this at home for less money. Am I the only one who doesn’t understand this?

    • Kailaharper

My 4 year old LOVES going to the movie theater, but it’s way too expensive for regular priced adult + kids tickets and popcorn, which she think she has to have. She would be way excited seeing an old movie just cause it’s about the experience!

    • Tia

Who wants to do stuff at home all the time? It’s about the experience also.

      • Mommyof71987

I agree being home all the time sticks but I can think of better ways of spending money other than paying to see a movie I already own.

        • Tia

Well if you have 7 kids, I would agree! But $4 for a trip with my one would be worth it.

        • 50ShadesofLipstick

Since you’ve seen all of these movies already, the deal obviously isn’t for you. Otherwise, people like going out to the movies w/ their kids and if you can save some $ doing it then why not? Not every deal posted is for everyone.

    • hyatt

      i completely agree with you.

    • cathy

Yes, you are the only one. lol

    • Kathryn Conway

It’s about getting the kids OUT of the house, change of scenery is important for developing children.

  3. Ashley

lots of these are on netflix

  4. Ns55

So annoying that they’re all in rural areas in my area!! People in the city would love to take advantage of this too!!
Fun experience for kids and it’s a great price. Kids would love to go even though they’ve already seen most of them

    • Daisy

Agreed all the participating theaters in my town are 45 minutes or more from home

    • rebekah

Agreed!! There are only 8 theaters in all of MI that are participating. Not a lot considering I have four just within a 10 mile radius of me (none of which are participating πŸ˜”)

  5. Laura

No participating theatres in NJ. Bummer!

  6. Kerry

In years past, movies were only $1 during the Summer (minus the popcorn/drinks). Sounds like you’re paying $3 more for the full “movie experience”, which is not right in my eyes.

    • Tia

Regal has $1 movies still. They don’t come with snacks though.

      • Rae

Our local library has a huge room with a huge projector and new to dvd kids movies in the summer, with free drinks and a popcorn machine with super fresh popcorn. Also in the city park they do the same for free but no free snacks but your welcome to bring your own.

Though these are great options too and it’s fun to go to the movies once in awhile. πŸ™‚

    • cathy

Than this isn’t for you. A lot of us are very excited about it.

  7. CS

Not available in Alaska, what a bummer!

  8. Laurie m Villotta

Our AMC theater movies are $4.99 all day everyday. So going to see new releases are very affordable for us.

  9. susan

i was so excited about this, but then I saw it was not all AMCs. I have never even heard of the locations that are in IL.

I love this! Our local parks do movie nights each month but the bugs are horrible, plus it’s so humid during the summer here in Florida. I will definitely do this at least a few times. We’ve seen all the movies but it’s more about the theatre experience for me n my kiddos. Definitely more fun!

  12. Kcmiami

Also check your individual area for activities. Our bowling alley and the library has weekly events for all ages during the summer to help give something for kids to do. I think our bowling alley is the first game free on specific days

  13. Laura

No theaters in the Chicago area.

  14. Mandi

I am all for having movie nights at home (saving money) but it is also nice to get out of the house sometimes, too – especially for low prices…BUT who wants to watch a movie and eat popcorn, candy, soda (etc) in the MORNING! Where we live we have many free/super cheap movie events but they are always at 8AM!!! SO STRANGE TO ME! This deal posted is at 10AM which is a little better – & I get that the free/reduced prices are only when there is no other demand – but does it have to be sooo early? πŸ™‚

    • cathy

      That is strange.

  15. LaShon Braybrooks

This is a great idea! As grandparents, we look for fun things to do. We go to museums, playgrounds, lakes, libraries and bookstores. This will be fun ( even tho she has Netflix) and teaches kids how to act in theatres. So, is the new AMC in Kalamazoo participating ?

  16. Melody

As a mother of 7 it is unrealistic for us to go to the theater often. Even though I own or seen most of these my kids would love to see them in” style” as they say lol. This is a lot more affordable than me shelling out $100 bucks just on tickets alone
