Buckle up, Amazon customers! 🚘
Amazon recently announced that Amazon Key, their service that already enables in-home delivery and keyless guest access, now gives Amazon Prime customers the option to receive deliveries of their packages inside their car in select cities.
With the In-Car Delivery service, Prime members with a compatible 2015 or newer Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, or Volvo vehicle with an active OnStar account (or active On Call account for Volvo) can enjoy the convenience of having packages delivered inside their cars at NO additional cost. AND you’ll get real-time notifications when your package is safely delivered.
To take advantage of this service, Prime members just need to download the Amazon Key App, link to their connected car, and start ordering on Amazon.com; no additional hardware or devices are required. Packages will only be delivered when the car is parked in a publicly accessible area, such as your home or workplace. Just make sure the location of your car is the address you choose for delivery.
