Anymore now they can do about the same amount of things. I have owned both and prefer my silhouette. Hope that helps you decide!
I love my silhouette. I did not want to depend on an internet connection to craft and cut. Silhouette software is downloaded to your computer. But the app for tablets/phone isn’t great. I don’t use that part. And from what I understand Bluetooth doesn’t work so well either, I have mine connected with the included cord.

Y’all buy this!! It’s a pretty good deal! You can cut all types of materials with it – vinyl, paper, card stock, fabric, etc. you can use it to make decals, cards, htv (heat transfer vinyl for shirts), and lots of other fun things. The software isn’t too difficult to use (the silhouette school website will answer pretty much any questions you may have) and set up is pretty simple
