Save on dining out for Mother’s Day!

If you’re looking to try a new restaurant for Mother’s Day or are traveling this summer and want to save on dining out with the family while on vacation, this deal is for you!

Through tomorrow, May 11th only, Restaurant.com is having a 48-Hour Sale and offering up their $25 certificates for ONLY $2 each when you use promo code TWO at checkout.

Here’s what you’ll need to do…

Click here to find a restaurant in your neighborhood (search by zip code or city)

Browse through the list of participating restaurants in your area (you will be able to view the menu, location, and phone # for each restaurant)

Pick your restaurant and the appropriate certificate amount and then click add to cart. Be sure to read the restaurant’s special instructions before purchasing the certificate as some restaurants require that you make a minimum purchase, some may state valid for food or dinner only, and some may restrict the days that the certificate can be used (i.e. Monday-Friday only).

Enter the coupon code TWO into the “Promo Code” box; your discount will then be applied to your purchase and you’ll pay just $2 for a $25 certificate. Then redeem your voucher at your local restaurant and enjoy the savings!

Keep in mind…

If a dining experience doesn’t live up to your expectation, you aren’t satisfied with your choice of restaurant, or you just change your mind, you can exchange your certificate at anytime. No questions asked!

You can easily exchange your Restaurant Certificate for a different restaurant with an equivalent value. PLUS, Restaurant Gift Certificates will NEVER expire… how awesome is that!?

I have had various bad experiences with this “deal” website. From restaurants with horrible service to restaurants not accepting my voucher. I don’t recommend it because it can be disappointing. Hopefully, others have had good experiences.

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

SO sorry to hear about that Norma! Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience with us! Have you been able to exchange your certificates?

  2. Lana

Read the fine print! Holidays are usually excluded. I agree with the above comment that restaurant. com is often not a great dining experience and way too many times the certificate is refused.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hi there, Lana. We’re really sorry about this and we’d like to help. Can you please send some details including the restaurants name and your Restaurant.com acct email address to social@restaurant.com? We’ll follow up with the restaurant to provide your feedback. In the meantime, we can exchange your certificate for another restaurant on our program. We have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee so for any reason at anytime, you can exchange your cert, no questions asked. Hope that helps!

  3. Rebecca

I agree with those above, I’ve never had a great experience using one of these.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hi there, Rebecca. We’re very sorry to hear this. Can you please tell us what you’re having trouble with? Please let us know, and thank you!

  4. Casey

Last one I got said you had to spend a certain amount in order to use the coupon. Watch out for that as well.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hi, Casey. All of our restaurants have a minimum purchase amount that you’ll have to spend in order to get a discount. The minimum purchase requirement varies based on the restaurant and certificate denomination but is always higher than the value of the certificate. For example, if you purchase a $25 certificate and the minimum purchase is $50, you will need to spend at least $50 at the restaurant before tax and tip. The restaurant will deduct $25 from your bill leaving you with the balance plus the tax and tip. Please let us know if you have any other questions!

  5. Danielle

I do not recommend these. I still have $100 in gift certificates from them from a deal I bought with movie tickets back in 2014. I was able to use the movie tickets right away, but have yet to use any of the restaurant certificates. There are hardly any participating restaurants in my area, and the ones I have opted to use have stopped participating before I could ever use them. Thankfully they never expire. I live in Pennsylvania, my son goes to college in Michigan and we vacation in North Carolina…and I still have yet to find a local restaurant in any of those areas that we go to that participates. Buyer beware!!

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

We’re very sorry to hear that, Danielle. We’d be happy to help with this today. We do have new restaurants on our site every month, and we also have National Partners that you can use your credits towards! All you need to do is click on the “National Partners” tab when redeeming, and you can use your credits for our online partners. We hope this helps! Please let us know if we can assist with anything else today. Thank you.

  6. Laura Johnson

I came to say the same. I had a couple of vouchers from this site a few years ago, and was always told that any restaurant I tried to use them at would not take them. I won’t purchase from restaurant.com again.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

We’re so sorry to hear this, Laura. We’d be happy to help you exchange your certificates for the restaurants that are no longer accepting. Please note that our certificates and credit never expire, and you may use them for new restaurants on our site! Please feel free to send an email to social@restaurant.com, so we can help you today. Thank you!

  7. Amy

Surprised this restaurant β€œcertificate” site is still around. I bought on 4 occasions from them and the local ones we used, one refused it and the other we got some pushback. Not sure why they participate if they won’t honor them. The two local restaurants went out of business shortly after.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

We are so sorry for these experiences, Amy. We appreciate you alerting us so we can contact the restaurants. With thousands of restaurants on our program, we strive to deliver the best dining experience possible and we regret this situation occurred. We have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and we can exchange the certificates for you. Can you please send an email to social@restaurant.com with the certificate numbers and the email address associated with your Restaurant.com account? We will follow-up with you directly. Thank you!

  8. couponer

Can’t recommend them either. Restaurants try to refuse it, change terms of usage, set price requirements that defeat the purpose of the savings. Total rip off.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

This is definitely not good and we’re sorry you had this experience. We would really like to help! We have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and can exchange the certificate for a credit that can be used at another restaurant on our program. Can you please send an email with the name of the restaurant and your Restaurant.com account email address to social@restaurant.com? We’ll follow up right away. Thanks!

  9. ally

I used a certificate from them a few months ago with no problem. You did have to spend a minimum amount, I believe mine was $50 and the certificate was worth $25, however it said this on their website. I told the waitress I had a voucher and she had no problem processing it as a gift card.

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Glad to hear you had a good experience using the certificates ally!

  10. Joanna

I had a hard time using one of these certificates at a local rest. They ended up letting us use it but we basically had to spend double the amount of the certificate. Our certificate was $25 & we had to spend $50 in order to use it. As of today I have never bought another certificate from them.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Sorry for any confusion, Joanna. We do have certain terms and conditions in place (like the minimum purchase amount) to make sure that restaurants can succeed while you save money. However, all the terms are listed up front on the website so you know what you’re getting before you buy. Here’s an example of what to look for. https://ow.ly/i/taTE With that said, we have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and we’d be happy to exchange the certificate for a restaurant that better meets your dining occasion. Can you please send an email with the details and your Restaurant.com account email address to social@restaurant.com? We’ll follow up right away. Thank you!

  11. Laura

It’s in the restaurant.com terms and conditions that you can’t use the certificate on Mother’s Day or any other major holidays for any of their restaurants.

  12. RimaJ

I have about $200 lying with me past 5years, this is just waste. Few times the restaurant I had wanted had closed or the management had changed which refused to use these certificates. Better to dine in without the hassle of dealing with these certificates

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hi there, RimaJ. We’re sorry for any trouble. Please note that our certificates and credits never expire. As we mentioned above, you may also use your credits for our National Partners, or any new restaurants that we have on our site! You can even give these as a gift to family or friends through your account. If you have any questions about this, please let us know. Thank you!

  13. celticmommie

I tried this once – never again. Not worth the hassle.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hey there, celticmommie. We’re so sorry if you had a bad experience. Is there something we can help with? Just remember, you can always exchange any unused certificates for credit for new restaurants. We hope this helps! Thank you.

  14. Tina9222

    Buyer beware…
two years after and still haven’t used, AFTER I bought and paid when I was gonna use it it said AFTER SPENDING A CERTAIN
AMOUNT!! Not worth it. Shame on this site:-(

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hi there, Tina9222. Sorry for any trouble. As stated above, we do have certain terms and conditions in place (like the minimum purchase amount) to make sure that restaurants can succeed while you save money. However, all the terms are listed up front on the website so you know what you’re getting before you buy. With that said, we have a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and we’d be happy to exchange the certificate for a restaurant that better meets your dining occasion. 15. Dee Vang

Hi. I have 4 $25 restaurant giftcard. And 4 $15 restaurants giftcard. Willing to trade for gift cards.

  16. SJ

    Scam.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

We’re sorry to hear you feel this way, SJ. We do have terms on our Certificates to make sure that restaurants can succeed while you save, but all of those conditions are listed up front so you know what you’re getting before you buy. We help millions of people save money on great dining experiences every month but we recognize that you have a choice when it comes to how you save when dining out. If there’s ever anything we can do to help explain how our Certificates work or improve your dining experience, please let us know. We’d be happy to assist. Thanks!

  17. Peaches

I have a few of these that are going on 8 years old. I have tried several times to use them only to be told that I don’t meet the “requirements” even though I meet those stated on the certificate. I might as well throw them out. Thankfully they were only $2 each!

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hello there, Peaches! Sorry you had this experience. Can you please send an email to social@restaurant.com, so we can follow up with the restaurants and see what’s going on? Please also include your Restaurant.com account email address and some details. We have a 100% customer satisfaction policy and we’ll take a look at your account and see what we can do to assist you. Thank you!

  18. Louee

I bought them years ago. The restaraunts keep closing.

    • Jennifer M. (Restaurant.com)

Hey there, Louee. We apologize for this experience. Unfortunately sometimes our customers are the first to find out about a restaurant closing. Thanks for notifying us so we can remove this restaurant. We’d be happy to exchange any unused certs you might have for this restaurant and provide credits that can be used toward another restaurant. Can you please send an email with the restaurant name and your Restaurant.com account email address to social@restaurant.com? We’ll follow up right away. Thanks!

So nice of restaurant. Com to reply. I have had positive experience with the company. Its works as stated by the discount ed voucher spend the minimum it will take off about 50 %. Keep in mind peeps that after tip etc eating out is always more than grocery shopping. Enjoy the ambiance and no cooking you self. Its all good. Read the fine print and just pass if not for ya. πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„πŸ¦„
