I have tried the Ice Cream on a stick and there is a thin layer of ice on the ice cream on a stick. I think it is supposed to help it not melt as quickly. The instructions say to “Let temper 2 -3 minutes” so this is probably to allow the outer skin of ice to melt.

The thin layer of ice is my FAVORITE part to eat on these ice cream pops!! It’s so fun to break it off carefully and eat it. Maybe I’m a weirdo! lol

I also have tried this ice cream among other low calorie ice creams and this one tasted funkier than Halo top. Just my opinion.

Oh darn! Sorry to hear that! Thanks for the honest review! I haven’t tried these just yet.

I love the sea salt caramel ice cream bars! I’ve tried a lot of low cal ice cream, and this is one of my favorites by far.

That does sound yummy! I usually like anything sea salt / caramel! 😉 Thanks for sharing Jess!

The salted caramel bars are dreamy! I swear they are lying to us that they are diet! 80 calories and worth every one!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

SWEET! I can’t wait to try these now!

I tried the bars of this brand when they had the free coupon for them. Yuck to me LOL!!! The ones I got were chocolate peanut butter and the taste was not very good. But the main thing I didn’t like was the texture, might just be me but it was nothing like icecream texture :-/ super weird chalky

I agree! I tried their new red velvet & also their cookies n cream flavors! Not good! The red velvet is way too sweet & textures are weird..three them away lol

Mine are still in the freezer, I’m not sure why haha

I also tried the bars when they were free, the chocolate peanut butter ones. I didn’t care for the chocolate part (at all), but the peanut butter swirl was at least decent. The best part is really that I can have something that’s not full of fat and calories, plus includes fiber and protein.

I did try the sea salt caramel bars as well and they were much better! Then today I picked up the brownie cookie dough pint and it was delicious! I was not sure if I’d like it since the chocolate peanut butter wasn’t great. Glad I took the chance and gave it a try!

The key is to let it soften though. If you eat it directly out of the freezer, I don’t think it has as much flavor. Plus the consistency gets a lot smoother when it’s not frozen solid. They’re actually pretty good now! 🙂
