We went on a Disney Cruise a few years ago and it was the best thing we ever did. My kids were 7 and 11 at the time and they absolutely loved it. Highly, highly recommend! We met many people that didn’t even have kids bc they said it is by far the best cruise line!

So fun! Thanks for the recommendation, Cari!

Sigh! I wish there were such deal for our disabled vets 🙁

    • Caitlin

If you are military ID card holder, and 100% disability rated you should still get the discount

But maybe that’s just for Disney Military Salute tickets 🤔

    • Heather

If you have a Military ID or a DD-214 you would qualify.

Going on our 3rd Disney Cruise this Fall!!! We absolutely LOVE them, even if you don’t have kids Disney Cruises are by far the best I’ve ever been on. I know they are pricier than others, but they are worth every penny! Also Pro Tip, you can pay for your whole cruise with discounted gift cards! Now go book yourself a cruise!!! 😁👍

That sounds so awesome! Thanks for the advice! 🙂

So I hate to be Debbie downer but on our Disney Summer 2016 I was very surprised about the lack of kids pools. Our boat had 2 small to medium sized pools and a water play area for kids. That was it. During the day on the boats they were packed in like sardines!

Bummer! I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t have a good time on your cruise. Thanks for the honest feedback!

Awe Abby. I’m sorry to hear about your disappointment. Most ships have two pools kids use one with a slide for kids and another for families, a splash zone, a baby splash area, and an adults only pool. There are also the AquaDuck/Dunk. Some ships have a private pool in the teen club. If your family went to Disney’s Private Island Castaway Cay there is a whole swim out barge with slides, ropes, what amazes me about the beach is that so much is included in the cost of your cruise other cruise lines make you pay for umbrellas and chairs! Some cruise itineraries sail to this island twice! I have cruised multiple times throughout the years and haven’t really experienced the capacity you described. I’ve been on sold out ships and never realized it until departure day when I see everyone leaving and Disney doesn’t have any character distractions to keep me occupied like they do on embartion day. Also if you stayed in midship those elevators are going to be quite busy and can make it seem like an eternity. Another faster uncrowded elevator is just a few steps away. I preronsally Disney does a great job at keeping everyone spread out. I hope you decide give them another chance.
