As long as your knees are shoulder width apart and your elbows on knees with back arched. We’ve used stepstools we already had and it does help empty completely. Think caveman in the woods, haha
The main benefit of the squatty potty (compared to a stool) is that it tucks away nicely against the toilet so it’s out of the way when not being used. We used a stool for a long time (and it definitely can get the job done), because I thought the very same thing, but I got tired of the stool always being in the way, so we finally bought a squatty potty and it love that keeps the bathroom floor clear.
I use my kids still but It leaves my feet forward more than I’d like. I imagine this will help u with ur legs being spread further apart giving a better angle
