Does anyone use this. How do you make it. Or drink or eat it?

    • Diana

You take a spoon of it and add hot water (but not boiling) in it. Mix and theres your matcha green tea! 🙂

  2. Norma

I got one. I’ll be looking up recipes to use it.

I gave up coffee for New Years , this is my new coffee . I use a whisk add a little stevia and almond milk and I absolutely love it !!

Sorry, but i have to question the true quality of this matcha. I am an avid matcha drinker and pay around $30ish dollars for the same size can for the real stuff.

On how to make matcha the correct you must use HOT water and whisk it until it become frothy/blended completely before you mix into another drink (or else it will clump up) Also, keep in mind matcha can is very bitter by itself if you choose to try it that way.

Is there a taste you can compare it to? I’ve been curious, but we live in a small town with not much going on here. How does the caffeine amount compare to coffee? I like lots of teas and coffees but have not invested in matcha since I can’t readily try it around here.

Matcha green tea has a distinct flavor that is hard to describe…it tastes a lot like green tea but much richer and deeper. Green tea in general has a lot less caffeine than black tea. Trader Joe’s sells matcha green tea single serve packets for cheap, you can try those first instead to see if you like it. There are tons of recipes for matcha green tea lattes online.

I was wondering the same thing… good matcha is around $30 like you said. This $6.60 deal is for the culinary grade, which is used for cooking and other recipes. The cerimonial grade, which is for drinking, is $18.49. It got mixed reviews. I personally wouldn’t try it. The more expensive ones are better worth it, but that’s just me.

  5. Mima

Price has gone up already on the Ceremonial grade, they still have the Culinary grade at this price though.

  6. Junbug

Price is back up for ceremonial matcha.

Darn! I am seeing that now as well Junbug. Thanks for the head’s up, I’ve updated the post!

  7. Jeannette

Thanks for posting this. Tried some matcha ice cream recently and loved it. Will be fun to find recipes using this!
