We have our heatpumps serviced twice a year and our service man told us not to use these thick filters. They cause the unit to work too hard and could burn up the fan. The cheapie filters are the best.
My AC service guy told me the same thing. He just reminded me to change the cheaper ones more often.
Yup, mine too. But I was told the super cheap ones (at Lowe’s they’re green, come in a pack of 4 for like $5) let too many particles through. So I guess somewhere in the middle is good! The problem with these is the accordian shape.
