Shears isn’t something I use in the kitchen. What do others use them for? I’m looking for an excuse to buy these…

I have little ones, I used them to cut their food. For example, when I make spaghetti. I make their bowl and then use the scissors to cut it all up. This makes it easy for my toddler to eat. That is just one example.

I also use them to cut up food for kids but other than that they are good for cutting twine, opening packages and even cutting through some meats.

I use kitchen shears almost every day. I use them to harvest and cut stems off parsley and other herbs, separate ribs on whole chickens, cut out the spine and “breast bone” of the chicken. I know you can do this with a knife, but I use kitchen shears. I also use them to open food packages I can’t open with my fingers, such as plastic bags with frozen fruit.

cutting g open packages, you know those hard to open plastic ones … gardening, keeping in a toolbox because they are strong ..hope this helps

cutting meat into tiny bites for toddlers.
also, when i make pasta salad or regular green salads — fast and easy way to cut up herbs, carrots, celery, or slice up olives or to cut deli meat slices into little squares for salads.

Once you get a pair of kitchen shears, you will wonder how you lived without them. I use mine to trim and cut meat, pizza, basically any type of food. I use them daily.
