I want that fridge but I don’t want the bundle lol

Samsung fridge with touch panel is a hunk of junk. Ours will go down from a power brown out and not reset for 36 to 48 hours. Every time we leave home for a few days I wonder if it will go down and we will come home to a fridge full of rotten food. There does not seem to be any fix for this and you are at the mercy of what the fridge chooses to do. When it goes down when we are home we have to haul everything out to the garage fridge until it chooses to reset and be usable again.

        I heard that too!

bought the samsung fridge and the ice maker mechanism had to be replaced after it stuck in the on position and flooded my kitchen. water was dripping from my ceilings downstairs. whole motherboard had to be replaced. only one service provider for the brand anywhere near Knoxville.shelves are impossible to keep clean as stuff runs under the side molding pieces. there customer service department is RUDE. please reconsider and look for a better alternative than the samsung fridge. they make a good tv but need to stay our of the kitchen.

We have the same thing happening all of a sudden with our GE. GE are junk appliances anymore. Our old ge were fine. When redid our kitchen and got all new ge profile appliances we’ve had nothing but problems with every single one.
Idk what to do now either. It’s only 10years old ?! Ugh.

Appliances have a life span of 8-10years! That is what every big box store will tell you. They are not meant to last like they did 20 years plus ago! That’s how the economy stays prosperous

Speed Queen washer and dryers are made to last 25 years. Ours have been absolutely trouble free and the washer cleans very well.

We bought Maytag appliances from Home Depot about 5 years ago. Absolutely zero problems to date!

    • Jackie

Maytag is the way to go! They are such good quality. Sometimes they cost a little more, but totally worth it.

Good to know how well the Maytag brand has held up for you! Thanks for sharing!

    • Lana

Some Maytag Washers and dryers are made by Whirlpool so do your research before buying. Whirlpool washers typically last about 6 years.

I always try to go with Bosch or Kitchenaid. Both are pricey so watch for sale but I always seem to have good luck with both. I’ve had my bosch dishwasher for probably 20 years. No problems. When we remodeled, I ordered a stainless steel front to replace the cream color that was on it, and walla…..new looking dishwasher.

What a great idea to update an older appliance! Thanks for the tip, Winnie!

Don’t buy LG or Samsung if anything goes wrong it’s very expensive to repair. Our LG refrigerator just stopped cooling and the repair would have been almost as much as replacement. The repair guy said never buy LG or Samsung. This sale came at a good time considering we need a new refrigerator. Thanks hip2save!

I believe Lowes has the same deal going.

Thanks for the heads up, Sara!
