We have this for our guest bed! It was very easy to put together and seems sturdy. I also like that I can get the vacuum underneath it.

Rachelid, is this lower to the floor than usual? I have bad knees and i struggle to get up. Thanks

How cool! Thanks for the feedback! Good to know it has worked well in your guestroom!

Hi Mary- it depends on the mattress you get. Mine is a 12 inch so from the floor to the top of the mattress is over 26 inches. Hope that helps!

So it’s just the bed FRAME and headboard, not the actual bed (mattress)?

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Yes, that is correct.

I have two of these beds in my rental and have had no problems. The box is extremely heavy though. Be sure to have someone help lift it around when it arrives.

      Thanks for the helpful tip!

We have this in our guest room as well. Easy to put together. I ordered a “mattress in a box” from Sam’s club as well. The bed frame is a little lower than most conventional beds, but not so much that it feels odd. My guests can still store their suitcases or travel bags under the bed. Highly recommend.

Oh awesome! Thanks for the great recommendation! Happy to hear you have been pleased with your Zinus Platform bed!

  6. Lexie

Does anyone know what the weight limit is for this bed?

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Sorry Lexie! I am not finding those details anywhere.

    • LisaC.

Lexie, if you search Zinus bed frames on Walmart.com you should be able to find weight limits on some similar. Not for this particular one, but Spa Sensations is made by Zinus and they have many steel bed frames like this one for sale on Walmart.com that do list weight limits. I checked before I bought 2 about a year ago. The weight limits on the ones I bought were over 1,000 pounds! Pretty awesome! Maybe just look at those and then compare. That would give you a pretty good idea.

I personally have 1 of the 18 inch platform bases! Perfect sitting and getting up height and I’m only 5’5
Also…you can get 8 of those storage totes underneath it if you need storage space!! Currently I only have a few as the other half of bed my dogs have made their perfect secret safe space

    Thank you

      You’re welcome, Lexie!
