Just starting to look for birkenstocks, is this a good price and/or style? Are they true to size?

    • gug

Imo this is a good price. Even used can be this high. But some people hate the thong style so make sure you’re comfortable with it.

    • KAJT108

Great price paid over $100 at the start of summer. Highly recommend this style most comfortable sandals ever.

    • Sasha

Just an FYI, these are a lower quality non-leather version. The uppers are birko-flor which is not leather. The insole is leather though.

    • mia4jesus

Birkenstocks run a bit big according to the shoe sales lady I bought mine from. The thong style has a really hard ridge at the toe line and the thong edge is large and hard as well. I wasn’t a fan even though they were cute.

Are there any Costco membership deals currently?

    • Pat

I have a coupon for a FREE 3 month trial of Costco. When we went to redeem it, we were offered $25 for a year or $45 or $50 for the better machine.
The Coupon was in the Buffalo NY area Sunday Supplement coupon sections. I don’t recall if it was Smart Source or RedPlum.

    Thank you!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      You’re welcome!

On the to piece, just take your time an hour or 2 a day to break them in. I took a new pair as my only shoes to Hawaii. Because I had not developed a callus, i had bloody toes with the humidity and all the walking in Hawaii. I loved them as soon as broke them in and developed a little callus between my toes. Great price. Last year our Costco go one case and they sold out within 24 hrs.I

  5. Rosa Garces

Does anyone know if they are also carrying these in the store? I want to make sure I buy the right size. Thanks!

  6. Flor

OMG! Thank you. I was just about to buy these same exact pair for $99 thanks for sharing. Just ordered a pair.

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Wahoo! You are so welcome, Flor!

    • jpence45

Meeee tooo! So glad I saw this!

  7. Teresa

These are the best sandals. I’ve had three pair in different colors because I love the style and they’re great for my bad feet. Limited sizes though. I was hoping to score some in 36 or 37, but they seem to be unavailable.

    • Jean

      I’m a 37 too…bummer! Birks are the only shoe I wear!

  8. Alicia9001

Scheels will Price match. As long as it is same color and style! I’m picking mine up soon! Thanks

  9. Martha H.

I need an honest opinion. What’s the difference between these and regular Walmart chanclas? Lol

    • Helen in Meridian

The arches in Birkenstock are fabulous. The Walmart and multitude of wannabees do not have the 4 arch spots that make these so good for your feet when you break them in and they conform to your feet.

    • amelia

you get a better aim with the Birks than with the chanclas 😉

  10. Savinmama

    AH-Some price! Just snagged my 2 pairs!🎉🎉🎉Thanks Hip2Save

    • Helen in Meridian

I just ordered a pair along with some of their black leggins that are on coupon.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Yay! You’re very welcome!

  11. Alicia9001

Do you have a scheels near by? They will price match!

  12. Angela M.

I believe these are cheaper because they are not real leather uppers. The $99 pair are real leather.

    • Angela M.

Hmmm maybe I’m wrong and these do normally go for $99

      • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Angela! I just shopping for Birkenstocks this weekend. The ones with real uppers were $139 and the other ones were $99 like these.

    • Lindsey

Exactly. If you read the reviews on Costco, these are not what you would receive if you ordered for full price. It’s almost like Costco’s watered down version of a true Birkenstock.

  13. Gisette

Great price! I like their slides better, but that’s a personal preference.

    • Jennifer (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Jackie! Those are actually the kids sized shoes for $59.95 in your link. The ladies sizes in that shoe are $99.95 here.

  14. Hagar

I wish they have men styles as well. I need one for hubby

  15. Ashley

Reviews on the site say they run big and to size down. Any opinions from my fellow Hip2Savers?

    • Laura

I wear a 9 or sometimes 9.5, and I order a 40 in Birkenstocks. I have several pairs, including this style, and love them all! The non-leather ones do take a bit longer to break in, but I had no problem. Great price!!

    • sls0822

Birks are a bit big. I wear a 7 in shoes & have the 38 in Birkenstocks. they are a bit big but since they don’t have half sizes I’m afraid the 37 would be too small for me (I ordered online so didn’t try on the next size down) I do know Birks come in a narrow width but not from Costco…

  16. 50ShadesofLipstick

These require breaking-in and are nowhere near as comfortable as the soft footbed Birkenstocks…those are like walking on clouds from day 1! If you have foot pain or just prioritize comfort when it comes to shoes, then you definitely have to have those.

    • Alison

Thanks for sharing that these do not have the soft footbed…that’s what I’m looking for! 😉

  17. Emilie

If I normally where a 38 in Birkenstock what would I get when there is only a 7 or 8?

    • Junbug

There is a description with sizing info toward the bottom of the page

  18. SM

Does anyone feel the leather ones are better? I would think they are more comfortable when they break in.

  19. Mama6

Thank you so much for this post. I have been looking at these for quite some time locally. How long is this sale running?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

You’re very welcome, Mama6! We aren’t sure of the end date so you may wish to grab it if you’re interested!

  20. Jenn

I have quite a few pairs of Birkenstocks. I have regular footbed and soft, real leather and birko flor. Both footbeds are comfortable, but I personally prefer the regular because they mold to the shape of the foot better. The birko floor are not leather but the material is very durable and wear just as well (if not better) than the leather. I also like that I don’t have to worry about them as much in the rain. For sizing, it can definitely vary from shoe to shoe. I have pairs from 37 to 39. I take smaller size in the sandals and larger size in clogs and boots. Hope this is helpful to someone!

    • Lilmama1299

Yep. I have 2 pair of the birko flor. They are great! I would venture to say more durable than regular leather

  21. Ktarty

These are my favorite sandals. I live in NYC and walk a lot, and they are more comfortable for being on my feet all day than my running shoes. This is a great price!

  22. Holly K

I hardly ever wear anything other than Birkenstocks. My favorite sandals are the Madrid, which has one fairly wide strap. I have wide feet, so in regular shoes/boots I have to go bigger to get wider. Also have a high instep so I can’t wear the ones with multiple straps.
If this helps, my feet measure 9 1/4 inches and I wear a 37.
Several styles are on sale at Amazon and
here’s another site that has several different styles on sale https://www.birkenstockexpress.com/Birkenstock/Madrid.cfm/prod5.AB968

  23. MJ

I’ve been wanting to try a comfortable summer Sandal and get out of my flip flops or toms, thanks so much for posting!

  24. Beth

I bought a pair of the regular style (Arizona) Birko-Flor at the Costco warehouse yesterday for $49.99. They came in black and dark brown.

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome Beth! Glad you were able to score even bigger savings in-store!

  25. DesertButtercup
