On July 12th only, head into Build-A-Bear Workshop where Bonus Club members (free to join) can enjoy a Pay Your Age Promotion where you can pick out any Furry Friend for the price of your kiddos age (minimum $1)!
This is a HOT HOT promotion if you have little ones! For example, if you take your 5-year-old on this day, you’ll pay only $5. How cool is that?!
There is a limit of one per guest, and as long as you are a Bonus Club member, each person in your party can score a Furry Friend at the promotional pricing!
Even sweeter, since the store will be so busy that day, U.S. and Canada guests can pay their age for an unstuffed furry friend and come back to have the full Build-A-Bear Workshop experience at a later date. However, the Pokémon plush may not be purchased unstuffed.

We have never been before so I’m unfamiliar with how exactly it works. Are there hidden costs? Are you buying a stuffed animal or making one? My 4 year old wants the superhero bear every time we see it at the mall (Spider-Man, I think?) would this include that? Thanks for helping a mama out!
Just let your kid know you’re not buying extras ( clothes, hats, shoes) and you’re good. There is a clearance section if you can’t get out without an extra. Be strong and good luck 😆

You go in choose bear and then a sound if wished then choose a scent if wanted then you have it stuffed to your childs wishes. Proceed to the ” bath ” then choose any extras you are willing to buy.
At Build A Bear, your son would pick the animal he wants (Spiderman) and they would stuff it there and let him choose a name, print a “birth certificate”, etc.

There is a Spider-Man bear that is 28. It is made with the outfit already sewn on. The others (superhero) you buy the bear then buy the clothes. Thankfully my little one loves Spider-Man
You can also search Facebook garage sale groups for BAB clothes. My son lost only the shirt to his police bear. The outfit only comes as a set for $20, so I searched the groups and within a month I found it. I ended up with 5 outfits and a BAB tent for my $20. Well worth searching once a week.

Sometimes you can order the bear unstuffed and then take it to the store to get it stuffed. It appears this is instore only though.

This is a joke. I have been to something like this they did before .. It’s a zoo! Kids are literally being trampled. This is not for kids under 4,5.. older kids 10-12 are slamming by its toe to toe. Leave strollers outside bc you are not going anywhere and the line is ungodly long. Save your day and pay the extra $ to not be in such a hostile environment!

You must have a child with you. The whole experience of Build a Bear is for the child to make it themselves. This isn’t just a stuffed animal off a shelf. My daughter gave up her pacifiers at 18 months. We went to BAB and she put them inside the bear with a wish to be a big girl. It was precious.

Am I the only one that just can’t believe how many negative comments there are about this? Or how many people are asking if there mall is participating and what are the hours. Go to the website people. Go to the Facebook page do some research. Shouldn’t be that difficult. I’m sorry but people just seem to lose all common sense for these things.

Seriously…it’s basic reading comprehension skills. Some people are just too lazy and want to be spoon-fed information instead of actually doing the bare minimum and looking into the promo on their own. Then you have those special people that see that the promo has certain terms and conditions but want to be able to get a bear for an unborn child or while out of the country. It’s hilarious.

I don’t find that you have to purchase an accessory – From their Facebook Page – “The only thing that is separate would be any sounds, scents, or accessories you’re wanting!” Hope this helps!
Muggle731 – I agree that people are not reading to get the information they seek. The Facebook page is ridiculous with people asking the same questions over and over again! You can’t count your dog as a child. You can’t get a bear for a child that is not with you at the store. The pay your age is only for a bear to stuff with NO accessories included. If your child is under a year old, you pay only $1 for the bear of your choice. If you have more than one child with you, each child can get a bear for the promo price – you must be a Bonus Club member. The promo is for one day only July 12th during store hours. You’re expecting, but you want a bear under the promo – No. You should sign up as a bonus club member BEFORE going to the store to qualify for the promo. I feel sorry for anyone who feels that this will be a pleasant experience. The lines at each store will be of epic proportions – many hours long. Too many people will be participating 😳.
