On July 12th only, head into Build-A-Bear Workshop where Bonus Club members (free to join) can enjoy a Pay Your Age Promotion where you can pick out any Furry Friend for the price of your kiddos age (minimum $1)!
This is a HOT HOT promotion if you have little ones! For example, if you take your 5-year-old on this day, you’ll pay only $5. How cool is that?!
There is a limit of one per guest, and as long as you are a Bonus Club member, each person in your party can score a Furry Friend at the promotional pricing!
Even sweeter, since the store will be so busy that day, U.S. and Canada guests can pay their age for an unstuffed furry friend and come back to have the full Build-A-Bear Workshop experience at a later date. However, the Pokémon plush may not be purchased unstuffed.

What do I need to join?
Just go to the build a bear website and sign up for their member program. No cost, no credit card, no ssn or anything crazy.
Does this exclude pregnant women?
Someone posted on a fb group that if you are pregnant, you pay $1. she posted a screen shot of a response from build a bear corporate.
That’s not true. Read the BAB FAQ….screenshots don’t mean anything. This event isn’t for pregnant women…it’s for adults w/ kids that will be present, or adults willing to pay their own age (max $29) for a bear.

No, it says minimum price is $1. So a 3 month old will get a bear for $1. Not for $.25
Yes, it excludes pregnant women. They specifically address this in their FAQs. A lot of misinformation about this from even the stores.

You can always call in to your location to be certain! UPDATE: It appears their details list that you cannot, however some readers have called in to their location that have said they would honor the promotion for them.
This is incorrect. Pregnant women cannot redeem this promo for their unborn baby but can redeem it for themselves by paying their age, with the maximum $ amount being $29. Check the BAB FAQ for more info.
Thanks so much for the clarification! It seems it might vary as to how it is honored as some readers have called in to their location, and have been told they will honor the promotion for them.
I wouldn’t be so sure about that, as on their FB page itself many pregnant women have asked this question and BAB has stated several times that this event is for children in attendance. I would go by the official word they’ve put out on their page, and not individuals claiming that their store will allow it (b/c even if that’s true, not every store will allow it and anyone can claim to be pregnant but not showing yet to get a bear for $1- which would result in a loss for BAB). No way to ensure that it would be honored purely by word-of-mouth and it would suck for people to show up expecting something other than what they is allowed (plus the rest of us that have to wait in line).

No. You make one for yourself and then they can each build a bear as long as they’re with you.

The amount cap is 29.00 so if you are 30 years old or older your cost would be $29.00, there is a cap to the total.

Is the promo on all sizes, or is it for a smaller version? Can the child actually build it with the stuffing, heart and all?? Clothes are extra I assume?

Yes this a promotion for all ages. If you are over the age of 29 your cost is $29.00 dollars. So yours would be 21 dollars for a bear.
If you have a goodwill nearby, check the stuffed animal bins. My daughter has gotten a few fully dress BAB’s for $2-3 each.

So for one stuffed animal I’ll have to pay $22? I’m 22 and that seems a little ridiculous. Why couldn’t I buy 2 animals for $22?
There are a few sales online, and maybe in the store too, for select “bears” 2 for $25, 2 for $35, or 2 for $40.

Ladies this is a big question!! Someone told me you have to sign up for it on the website and you have to be 18 years or older?? This makes me mad if its true! Not all moms are 18+
I think it has less to do with being a parent and more to do with being a legal adult. The rules just say that it has to be an adult 18+.
Like there aren’t 13 year olds on facebook that say they are 18. They don’t check IDs.
It’s not personal. You may be a mom, but you’re still legally considered a minor in the US, U.K., and Canada where the promo is taking place. No, they probably won’t check you for ID, but it’s about their legal liability should you decide to sue them for some reason (such as privacy concerns) since you would be lying about your age to get an account – after all, you should expect to get A LOT of marketing emails once you sign up for the bonus club. All that said, I’m sure you will be fine if you don’t make a big deal of it in the store.

Good grief, talk about scamming the system… They’re only allowing one per guest, so your daughter will only get one and your family members, if they want one themselves, will pay their own ages up to a max of $29.
People like this absolutely ruin it for others, with their greed. This is why we can’t have nice things. One $1 bear isn’t enough for your child, she needs 5.

And there’s people whining about the backlash they’re receiving for asking 😂 The promo is only for current stock, so yes, you’re kind of an jerk if you’d deprive other kids in line behind you all by getting your precious child multiple animals instead of letting others share in the same experience.
