Are they going to be doing penny deals this year?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

We haven’t seen them yet, but hopefully they will! 🙂

Not sure if anyone remembers, but last year, Office Depot had a deal where some school supplies were as low as 1 penny each (limited quantity 3-5 per item) if you spend at least $5 on school supplies. Does anyone know if they will have same deal this year? Or is this deal posted here and the Staple deal posted few days ago the best we can hope for this year? Not sure when will be the best time to stock up.

I will have a 2nd grader and a kinder this year, and plan to buy some for school donation too. I also have a baby and not much time to shop so I want to make that one trip and load it up! Thanks in advance.

Yes! The penny deals were great! Hopefully we’ll see those pop up soon.

Staples brand stick pens are 1 box of 12 for 50 cents this week if you aren’t brand loyal.

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Great deal! Thanks, Jo-Ann!

Also I saw 18 ct Ticonderoga pencils at Staples for $3, making it same price each as listed above and you don’t have to buy 72!

        Nice! Thanks for sharing!

    I was wondering two things:
    1. Can you format this like the Target shopping lists so we can select items we want and print them on a list? Usually when I select print then I can hit the red X to get rid of items I don’t want to print but I can’t for this.
    2. I’m looking for deals on colored printing paper, any ideas? Thanks so much!!

    • Erica (Silly Sidekick)

Of course Valerie! Thanks for the suggestion! Also, it appears all 400-ream packs of copy paper (including colors) are marked down to $3 (regularly $6) and are also on sale Buy 2 Get 1 FREE. Hope that helps!

      • Nicole

I can’t find the colored paper that is priced for $3. What brand is it? I could only find these brands xerox, astrobrights and boise polaris. The prices ranges $12-$24.

Is there a limit on how many you can buy?

    • Holly (Hip2Save Sidekick)

There are limits on some items. You’ll be able to see the limits on each product by clicking over to the item via the above links. Hope that helps!

These don’t feel like DEALS. This sounds like the normal back to school prices??

    • Sandra

I agree, I feel like we still need to wait a little longer before the real deals on school supplies start. Unfortunately my kids are starting back mid August this year and I’m afraid that might be too early for the great deals.

Mine start back July 30th!! Good thing I had extras from previous years stashed away, just had to buy highlighters and still need comp books.

  8. Andrea

This year I have a 3rd grader and 6th grader. My middle school needs graphing notebooks and a Scientific calculator. Did anyone see any deals on these yet? We start back September 4th, so I can wait until the best deals come out.
