I’ve been on that six months for $30 subscription (or various very similar iterations of it) for about 8 years. I know people paying astronomical prices for Sirius but I’ve always paid about $5 a month. At renewal just tell them you’re going to cancel because of cost – they’ll of course attempt to talk you into all kinds of other deals…ignore those – and say if they can get you the same plan you were on you’ll stay. It always works. And the customer service reps dont usually argue it it’s a quick relatively painless call twice a year.

Just remember to put a reminder on your calendar so you don’t forget come renewal time or you’ll be charged the full amount (which is ridiculously expensive). We love Sirius especially during long road trips. Thanks for posting this great deal!
I didn’t renew after my trial and they never leave me alone now. I even asked that I be removed from their call list. Every other day they call and I continue to say no. Beware of the trials!
My boyfriend had a sirius trial in his car when he bought it and five years later they’re still calling him to get him to sign-up.
At first it was like you say, every day, even after being asked to remove their name from the list, but they still call him every so often to test the water again. We also get a ton of “free trial” offers for them by mail as well. It’s so frustrating.

For the year… I reminded my hubby to cxl immediately before they charge our credit card. Seriously, who pays that?
Our anniversary is coming up and I use your deals all year to put together a FUN Basket for my Hubby. I try to set a limit of $25 and see what I can do. Between the groupon deals and freebies like this, he has so many treats and it’s a lot of fun to do! This little trick over the last five years (since someone introduced me to your website) has helped me save up for an incredible 10 year anniversary trip

Not related to this deal, but does anyone have any non- trip ideas for a 10th anniversary? Ours is coming up next month (8-8-08), but we have a 7 month old baby this year (and 2 older kids as well) and no one to leave them with… so a trip is not to be 😔

I’d like to thank all of you who post in the comments about your Sirius pricing, not just on this post, but on all the previous Hip2Save posts. On a previous post, I noticed so many of you getting a really great rate. My mom’s been buying this for my brother as a Christmas gift for years and years and she was on the auto-renew. I told her when she got the notice this year to let me know and I told her what you all had said you were paying, so she called and asked to be taken off auto-renew and requested that deal. He uses both the streaming service and the radio box, so they said his plan was slightly more expensive than the cheapest we saw in the comments here, but it was still WAY WAY WAY cheaper than she had been paying per year. I renewed my husband’s subscription around Christmas. He has Sirius XM radio in his car and he loves it! This is a great deal to get your “foot in the door” for all their other deals and promotions!
