Can I use points for my purchase and still get the 3000 points?

    • LindaS

Belle, I don’t think you can use points and also earn points in the same transaction at Walgreens. Their policies are some of the most restrictive of the 3 major drug stores. I’m even wondering about them accepting printed coupons.

      • tina

I believe walgreens let’s you redeem points and get points, as long as it isn’t a threshold offer (example: spend $30, get 10,000 points). There does seem to be issues with printed coupons at Walgreens. Their system sometimes denies a coupon it accepted for someone else (I had a coupon declined that someone in front of me also used successfully). You can call their 1-800 number and talk to balance rewards. They are always very kind, but they can only give you points if something doesn’t work. I would call them in advance about a printed coupon to ask if it should work and what to do if it doesn’t.

Coupon fine print: One coupon per purchase. 🙁

    • Darcy

Yes, Kat, this is always the most confusing wording! What this means, is that use can’t use more than one coupon on each item. That constitutes fraud… If it said that you can’t use more than one coupon per transaction, then this scenario with using 2 coupons wouldn’t work.

    • Kat

My Walgreens still accepted two coupons. 🙂 I also used some points and received the additional 3000.

      • tina

there is a clip to card one too, so you can save ink and only print one.

but there is a debate about the wording of coupons. i believe “purchase” means item. some believe it means transaction. some coupons limit use per day.

    • Naayomee

Each item is a purchase. You can use two coupons. ☺️

  3. Cindy

I did not receive the print out for the FREE Photo PrintBook. I did use points and get point. If the offer says “BUY” you can use points if the offer says “SPEND” you can not use points, easy way to remember.

  4. Hdsanda

I did this deal today…I didnt see a coupon. is this printing for everyone?

    • Cw

I did the deal today as well and didn’t get the PhotoPrint book coupon either. Even worse, my Walgreens would not honor two coupons.

I did this deal today… I can confirm:
    – I used 2 coupons in the same transaction
    – I redeemed points in this transaction
    – I got 3,000 points as advertised
    – I got a coupon for a free photo book as mentioned
If you want to make sure, go to Photo Center. There should be a sign for it. I went there to look for the sign to be sure before I checked out, so I was very confident it would work. Good luck everyone!

It all depends on how your local Walgreens interprets it/is told to Interpret it. I agree that the wording means you can use one coupon per item and the other stores seem to interpret the same way but my local Walgreens all interpret it to mean one like coupon per transaction.
