We buy the bigger Ritz crackers with cheese, not the Ritz bits, and the ones we have don’t fall into the expiration dates that are being recalled, but I’m still really nervous about the kids eating them.

I had just finished eating a pack and saw the info on Facebook. I checked our serial numbers and yep, it was one of the recalled ones. So, hopefully, fingers crossed, I don’t feel the consequences of my action.😳 But I figure I’m fine, since no one has gotten sick yet.

Salmonella usually takes only six hours for symptoms to start but can take as long 36 hours. Go to the cdc.gov site for information about all the outbreaks. There are many products causing problems. Best wishes for us all to stay safe.

There have been a lot of recalls lately. Another recall issued today for ground turkey. Sorry, can’t remember the brand, but just seems like a lot lately.

      I agree, it seems suspicious.

I don’t see the 8.8 oz box listed in the recall notice that is pictured above! We have those in the pantry so I want to make sure I didn’t miss them in the list!!

I’ve seen this size box pictured on all the recall posts too. But it isn’t listed. I have an unopened box in my cabinet. Thinking I should throw it away just to be safe?

I would like you all to know, my grandmother had broken out with a case of salmonella. Her favorite food is ritz. Is it possible she has gotten it from her addiction to the crackers

    • Sarah

OMG thanks for posting about this, and thanks to Arlene for posting about the Goldfish crackers being recalled. I have BOTH items in my pantry and am glad to know I shouldn’t feed it to my little guys.
