Thanks for including that link to the guarantee. I have 2 backpacks that lasted 3-4 years each before zipper busted on one and fabric ripped on the others. I just did the online chat and have my return label ready – mailing them out tomorrow!
My son is 8 and has been using his for 2 years now. He throws it around and it has no holes or tears.
My daughter has been using hers daily for over 2 years and it still looks new. We use for overnights on weekends, long trips for family vacays and everyday school, so it’s seen a lot of wear!

I have bought from Lands End frequently. Free shipping is very infrequent. I remember it a couple of days during the Christmas season. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen…but I never plan on free shipping.
I wouldn’t wait for it. This is probably as good as it gets for their backpacks. Great deal.

Lifetime warranty isn’t a true , easy warranty. Bought my daughter’s backpack just a few years ago (*she was in 2nd grade when it ripped). I contacted customer service , I had bought the bag on clearance. They had no record of my transaction since o didn’t do it online, I had no receipt, they asked for some info and did verify it was from lands end, but I would be charged shipping to them and back. I could take it to the store they said, but the store said I needed to contact customer service. It was a terrible run-around. Ended up tossing the bag and now she sports a jansport bag.
