Sounds like fun! Wish that my B&N stores were participating. ☹️

      Bummer!

Our “local” Barnes & Noble does Not have this even listed. πŸ™

      Darn! Sorry to hear that!

Has anyone been able to find it near them?

I’m in NY and the closest store with this event is in another state nearly 6 hours away.

I just called to register my 7 year old and they told me that it’s for ages 8-14 only. πŸ™

Oh darn! So sorry to hear that. It may vary by location. I just called in to my store and they stated that it will be available for all ages.

Had to click on each individual stores’ events calendar near me to find out if any are participating. Found one and called the store to confirm. Didn’t need to sign up or anything.

  7. Paige

My store isn’t participating. Bummer! I got excited thinking maybe they would be replacing the Toys R Us events we use to love to go to.

There are 16 B&N within 50 miles of my house in two states and the city of Boston. None are participating according to their website.

  9. Fei

Yeah!!! my B&N at Pittsburgh, PA is participating!!

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

      Woohoo! Glad to hear it!

Ours had so much interest that they announced signups last week, and it filled all 75 spots in less than an hour. I would recommend finding the Facebook page for your local event in case they suddenly call for registrations. I’m in Knoxville TN πŸ˜ƒ

For anyone who doesn’t have an event near them or they are full…..it looks like this is the Hogwarts Express mini model from the Lego Dimensions team pack, they’re just re-using the build. You can find it for only a few dollars on Ebay. Hope that helps some disappointed kiddos!

The last time our closest B&N offered a Lego build, my husband & I drove an hour to the nearest location with our 3 youngest children & waited in a looonnnng line only to be told that the materials never came in. The employees took names & contact info claiming that the event would be rescheduled & we would be notified. yeah, long story short, we never heard from B&N again. i won’t be wasting our time & resources on trying that again. Good luck to those that do!

I just called the nearest B & N by me. They did not appear on the website as having the event, but I called to confirm. The person on the phone said to call back later this afternoon, and she would know for sure. She currently does not have anyone working who can host the event, so is trying to find someone. Other stores could be in a similar situation.

Thanks for sharing this information!!! We with my son attended Lego Harry Potter event in our Barne&Nobles in Fort Myers, FL. There were not too many people, like 20 kids maybe, it was very organized event , all kids received their own kit to build hogwarts-express, certificate and coloring sheet, I saw they had more sets available.
