    Thanks!!
I have always paid much more for a four pack.

I know! Me too! You’re very welcome!

Looking at the picture, the name-brand package of the same product is $6! This would be great classroom item to donate to a teacher.

    • Mel

these are terrible. I’d spend the $6 for Expo!

  3. MrsG

If you are buying for a teacher, PLEASE buy expo. The offbrands are terrible.

    • celticmommie

YES. Thank you. They’re 12 cents each for a reason…

As a teacher, I’d take any donation I can get. I teach in an inner city school with poor students who can’t always provide their own school supplies, plus I’m a music teacher so even when donations do come, they don’t usually come my way. Some of us can’t afford to be picky.

I have used these in our homeschool for years. They work great for us..

    • Amber (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Awesome! Good to know they have worked well for you! Thanks for the feedback!!

So when paying full price $4.49 = “It’s good product for a cheaper price comparing to brand-name”.
And when paying sale price $0.49 with the same product = “It’s a bad product because it is off-brand”?
I’m not working for Walgreens or Wexford. I’m not trying to pick a fight here either. My point is sometimes price does not determine the product quality. I myself have used off-brand markers, and they are as good as Expo. Sometimes you might be unlucky to pick a package that was on the shelf for a long time. That’s why it has bad quality.
Not everybody can afford to buy brand-name products to donate to teachers or anywhere else. That’s why they have to spend time to coupon and find cheaper price for comparable products. I am pretty sure teachers will be appreciate for any donation they can get or they have to pay out of pocket (My family member is a teacher).

Heck no! It honestly depends on the off brand. Some items are comparable at a lower price to their counterpart Name brand. If this brand works for you, great! Keep buying them. They just didn’t work well for us. My oldest has been doing his math homework (and other subjects, but mostly math), on the dry erase board, since 2nd grade (he’s in 11th now). I started off using the cheapie brand dry erase markers. But after a month or so, they started to fade in color (not that they were as vibrant to begin with like Expo) or totally dry out. I had bought 4 packs of Wags brand (I don’t think it was Wexford at the time), and we went through those before December. So I had to pay full price for a pack of Expo, which lasted the rest of the year, into summer and most of the next school year! So if 1 pack of store brand lasts about a month, you’re looking to pay almost the same price buying 9 boxes on sale as just paying for 1 box of Expo at the beginning of the year. Of course, being a savvy shopper, I always wait til Expo goes on sale and get a box or 2.

As a teacher I do appreciate any donation, but speaking from experience these only last about a month. I purchase Expo markers every summer and they last the whole school year and even into summer school. I realize it is a good deal, but you get what you pay for.

Thanks for posting the deal! I needed them and got them today. Works fine, but its only for home use 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You’re welcome! So glad you could score these!

Unrelated, but I have a code for the free Photo Printbook at Walgreens if anybody wants to use it. It’s 1OTWLGQFOX0IS. Please comment if you use it 🙂

    • Dana

      I used it! Thanks!

  9. CJ

Took my chances and bought a pack for my son who is off to college on the 17th. I think with 4 of the they might last the school year. Worth a shot anyway.

4 of them not the – oops
