Karen, I think you have two weeks to use in store after it’s expired.
Every store slightly different just call first and plan to check out at CS desk not a regular register. Ours stores in DE 10 days. Sometimes they will allow longer if you press for it.

I have been able to use my expired Kohls cash (including that sent from online purchases via email) IN STORE (and in STORE only) up to 10 days after expiration day listed. Have done so multiple times this year. Good luck!

BEWARE! This morning I was throwing out mail and one thing I pitched was a card-like 5″ x 10″ advertisement from Kohl’s. For some reason, it caught my attention and I pulled it out of the trash. On the card, you will see the statement about tax-free weekend and if you look closely there are two barcodes. On my card, the bottom code was for $10 off $10 ! I used the promo codes posted here and the code on this card and got $90.00 in clothes for $2.10.
The Kohl’s advertisement I received said “In store only” regarding Illinois tax break savings. 😞
And mine card said 10% off for the tax break savings
