Does anyone knows what’s the difference between this and a fire stick? Thanks in advance

    • Michelle

I was going to ask the same thing

  2. Tara C

Lexie, Fire TV has 4K resolution and High Dynamic Range support. The fire stick does not have either.

    • Lexie

      Thank you

Do you have to have any type of account to use it ??

    • Hailey

Some things are free, but other things like Netflix, Hulu, etc. require you to have a paid service account to use them. It just depends on what apps you want to use them for.

Do you have to have any special type of service to use this ??

What exactly does this do? We have nothing new gadgety-wise, all this alexa stuff or anything.

Is this just so you can talk and tell it to turn to say hulu or go to prime instead of using a remote? Anyone that can break this down to fire 101 for me? 🙂

    • Lisa

Oh ok never mind, i see it is similar to say like a Roku – which we have. Does anyone have both, Roku and this? Is having both worthwhile?

  6. Mommy2Bear

We have both. Roku in my lo’s room and Firestick in mine. They offer some of the same things but have there differences. The Roku is easy to manage for my lo and I enjoy her not having the capability of saying something and it responds as the firestick does. No accidental charges. The firestick does allow for “jailbreak” as people have called it the Roku does not.

Can you “jailbreak” this one? Or only the regular fire stick?

    • gaby

you can its just turning off somethings…. i just did and installed some apps works wonders! good bye directv.
