It won’t work on the first deal because it is under $3 but it will work for the second deal. Walmart won’t allow you to use a coupon higher than the product anymore in Arkansas.

Hi Patricia! Sorry to hear that your store is giving you grief with your coupon redemptions. I just checked the Walmart corporate coupon policy and it states “The coupon value will be applied to the price of an item allowing any overage to be applied to the transaction total.” – so you should be able to use the coupon in the first scenario. You may want to try a different store!

I just use self check out it worked last time and took off the $3, not saying this time would be different
      I can’t stand Walmart

    Hi

It doesn’t matter what the Walmart Corporate Coupon states, Walmart has their own policy on coupon. So many times, CSR gives me so much trouble and wasting my time by not allowing me to use more than one coupon in the same transaction. They won’t allow any more than 1 coupon per transaction. I had 3 coupons before that said “1 coupon per purchase specified” and “Limit 4 like coupons per transaction” and I had 3 products for my 3 same coupons. They called CSR and CSR came stating that a product is a transaction and i can only use one coupon at checkout bc the coupon said “per purchase”…I kindly informed them that per PURCHASE means per item and it is different from per TRANSACTION. They were so rude saying “A PURCHASE IS A TRANSACTION and that i am making a purchase for this whole transaction therefore I can only use 1 coupon in the whole entire transaction. I politely told them to check the Walmart Corporate Coupon policy and they said “I am the supervisor and we are trained to take only one coupon per whole transaction. The manager that rang up more than 1 coupon for your is probably fired”….at this point, people are just staring at me because those employees are ganging up on me.

I agree. Walmart has the most incompetent staff, including their store “management”. Target isn’t any better when it comes to purchase vs transaction for coupons. It’s a losing battle trying to politely tell them that one coupon per purchase means you are allowed to use one coupon per item being purchased.

Can WALMART corporate properly train their managers to differentiate between a PURCHASE and a TRANSACTION because apparently to them those words mean the same thing. They said one coupon per purchase means only ONE coupon in the whole transaction. AT the point, i requested them to split my transactions into 3 so I can use the coupons. They manager walked away while they needed an override bc the coupon wouldn’t scan. They knew I wanted to use my 3 coupons so they made me wait in line for over 45 minutes after they closed down the lane. I can’t believe in this day and age, there are managers out there who doesn’t understand purchase versus transaction lol

I’m confused by the “ redeem” part, does that mean there’s no print limit on the coupon?? And are the coupons supposed to have the same or different numbers printed on them??

    • Liza (Hip2Save Sidekick)

Hi Traci! Yes, each coupon can only be used one time, and will have its own barcode. Sometimes coupons will also state that you cannot use more than two or four of the same coupon in each transaction. So on a coupon with a limit of two, even if you printed four coupons, you could still only use two in one transactions. However, this coupons does not have those kinds of limits. Hope that helps!

Walmart refused to let me use a Maybelline coupon for “one eye product” on a package twin-pack of the red eyebrow pencils……despite the fact that the coupon had a picture of the exact twin-pack of pencils. They insisted that because there were two pencils in the pack, I couldn’t use the coupon for ONE eye product. I went around and around with them at customer service, and they would not budge. Not that I needed the pencils that badly, but I was frustrated that they were so DUMB.

I was a grocery cashier for ten years……..I know how to read and use coupons! lol

my walmart has the policy that if printed coupons don’t scan with the price (they don’t have to enter the price when they scan, which i have only seen happen at walmart with non freebie coupons), they will not take the coupon. i downloaded the coupons.com app to use instead. you submit your walmart receipt after purchase (clip coupons prior to purchasing) and they put the money in my paypal upon approval.

they currently have 2 of the rimmel eye coupon. saves trees and money spent on printing supplies!

    • Linda

Thanks for the AMAZING tip, Tina! I’m doing that RIGHT NOW 🙂

I used them at self check out too! as long as you have items that cover the overage prior to scanning coupons 😊
