Hip2Savers, I moved from Illinois to Kansas, and I was wondering if anyone could suggest grocery stores in Kansas that are best for couponing. There is not a single Kroger in sight, so are there any other stores that are similar here?

    • Lindsey

I live in Kansas and I actually don’t coupon much at all anymore because I haven’t found it worth my time these days. We have Dillons, which is a Kroger affiliate. I do download coupons onto my dillons plus card and use those which can sometimes be really great deals, but dillons does not double coupons or anything like that anymore (and hasn’t for several years). Other than dillons, I shop at Aldi. I live near Wichita, KS and don’t know of any other stores great for couponing (for food anyway). I’m guessing there’s similar coupon programs for stores like Whole Foods and other organic grocery chains but I don’t shop for food at such places. Hopefully that helps! I know it’s kind of depressing if you’re coming from a store(s) that still double coupons but Aldi is really great for saving money. Hope you enjoy Kansas!

Thanks Lindsey, but we don’t have dillons too:(. I live in Overland park KS

Oh how I miss Kroger and Meijer! The two big chains in the KC area are Price Chopper & HyVee — Price Chopper is more like Kroger (“buy 8 get $8 off!”) and HyVee is more like Meijer — but prices in average are higher. I actually really like a chain here called Sprouts Market — it seems kind of more like Whole Foods only it’s surprisingly affordable — best produce prices around and frequent$1.99/lb sales on boneless skinless chicken breasts. I feel like I use coupon & rebate apps more frequently since moving here, with ibotta being my favorite (my referral code is 4yvgjg if you’d like to check it out).

Thanks Holly, I do grocery shopping at sprouts but it is expensive compared to Kroger:( . price chopper and hyvee are expensive tooo.
