I have tried these coupons at two different CVS’s – both times, they beeped and the employee manually put them in- both times- the coupons were added in as a purchase and the coupon amount was added to the amount I owe. So, if you decide to try and use these coupons – you might want to double check your receipt.
I agree! check your receipt. I have nothing but trouble with these coupons too and the cashiers say because they beep that I must be buying the wrong items. they always have to call a manager and they usually just enter them manually. It seems like just common sense but it is almost like they think you are trying to pull a fast one on them. Then when I know the math and realize I have been charged too much they look at me like I have two heads, void the transaction and start again. I watch every step and of course I am right and they don’t seem to like that either. I get so frustrated. Why is it so hard to use their own CVS coupons!
My store right in the counter at check out lists in the “rules” that they won’t except coupons that are over the value of the item you are getting. I used to take the cvs $2 off razors and use it on the $1.50 disposable razors and now they won’t except transactions like that.

Yep, same thing happened to me today with $2 gold emblem coupon. A few days ago, I gave $2 off cover girl coupon to the cashier. For some reason, it did not scan, so he typed the code manually, then it added $12 for me to pay! Something is wrong with the CVS coupon system…?
When I receive a survey, I express my concerns about their coupons. Hopefully someone is listening.
