I bought one shelf of there’s that was listed on Hip and it came with one less decorative cap. I contacted the company to see about getting that piece, was informed via email they would send me one and never did. Great product but customer service not so good.

Oh bummer! Sorry to hear about that! Thanks so much for sharing your experience with us! Glad you have still been pleased with your shelf!

Am I the only 30 year old that hangs their stuff outside to dry? Everyone should have a clothes line! they are economical, they cool your yard down in the summer, they make your things smell GREAT! The only down falls I see are some things get stiff so you must put in dryer on fluff no heat for a few min. You also have to watch the weather rain can be so unfair. also it is slightly more work. and I mean it will take maybe an extra 10 min. don’t hang your socks and underwear out, just your jeans, towels, rugs, blankets, sheets, the big stuff. Do it before you go to work in the morning. I have 4 kids so lots of laundry. Your electric bill will be a lot smaller, you have an excuse to go outside, the positives are so numerous. so give it a try. help yourself help the planet. Have a great day everyone.

Anytime I hang something outside to dry, it smells bad?

    • Katie

I hang most of my clothes to dry, but inside. If you have allergies, like me, hanging outside is a bad idea. I can’t recommend enough, though, the benefits of hang drying clothes instead of using the dryer. Like Amy said, it definitely cuts down on your dryer use — but you also get much more longevity out of your clothes. The dryer contributes to color fading and shrinking — and overtime breaks down the fabric. I have been amazed at how well my son’s clothes look, even after a lot of wear, because I don’t put them in the dryer!

You are not the only one! Growing up the dryer was only used on rainy days. To this day I still hang my bras, work clothing, darks and rugs on my clothesline. I have one indoor and outdoor. Call me old fashion, but at the end of the day it definitely helps on my electric bill.
