I went to SAMs club yesterday and did this deal. My husband was the member and I was a secondary member so this time I signed up to be ther member and it worked. They have a scavenger hunt for more members and I got a free ice cream at the cafe and a free rotisserie chicken, $2 off organic bananas which were originally $1.94 so I got those for free, $2 off strawberries. I also got the fruit tray and cheesecake platter. And the $20 egift was already emailed to me. I used ebates and got $2.70 back great deal. I did the $45 membership.

I tried this deal a year ago and my code would never activate my account. Lost $45
Bummer! I am so sorry you weren’t able to get it to work. Were you able to contact their customer service? They may be able to re-issue you a new code. If not they should at least allow you a $45 credit with Sam’s club. If you log in to your account you can live chat with them to resolve the issue. Hope that helps!
How do we get the free fruit and cheesecake? I did the $45 Groupon today and shopped in store but didn’t pick up the freebies for fear that they wouldn’t be ready to redeem yet.

Also, apparently I had a free trial membership in 2015–it prevented me from using my preferred email address. FOr those of you who get this deal every year or two, how do you free up your email address? Or do you use a new one each time?

I had to use a different email address. I was able to get the fruit tray within minutes of activating my membership
Where do I go to find the free cheesecake and fruit tray? I have already received my gift card so I assume that it should already be on my account.
It should already be loaded on your account and will come off automatically at checkout. I downloaded the Scan & Go app and checked to make sure the discount would apply with that – just scan the cheesecake and then click to check out, it will show a $0 total and then you know the discount is on your card!
