My kids use ours as a stool as well— So I do t know why not.

We have one of these that we got from a white elephant gift exchange. I would’ve never bought it for myself, but it’s been great. I use it for it’s intended purpose, but it’s perfect for my 3 year old for getting on the potty, and it’s sturdy enough that I can stand on the edge of it to help me reach things on top of the medicine cabinet, and It’s never tipped on me!

My toddler uses the step stool in the IKEA kids section to squat as well, and the bonus is that he can also slide it over to the sink afterwards to wash his hands…don’t think that this stool is stable enough to allow him to use it for that purpose. Otherwise, everyone should have a squatty potty!
