These bikes are great for learning how to ride a bike and they grow with your child! The seat and handlebar heights adjust to accommodate ages 18 months to 3-5 years and they have a lightweight frame that weighs only 6.7 pounds making it easy for your child to ride and stride.
Check out what others have to say about these bikes…
I purchased this bike for my almost 3 year old son. He loves being outside and riding his tricycle, but I wanted to get him the balance bike because his older brother is having difficulties mastering the concept of the two wheel bike. He loves this bike. I was a little concerned that the lack of pedals would cause him to lose interest because he couldn’t go as fast, but on the contrary he can push himself along and glide to go faster. He will not get off the bike and we’ve had it for two weeks now.
You won’t find a better bike than a Strider to teach your kids how to ride! They are lightweight, sturdy and easy to use. My kids started using them at about a year old, and my son was able to transition to a regular pedal bike (without training wheels) in a matter of thirty seconds before his 4th birthday. No joke. These bikes can also take a beating! When you have toddlers and preschoolers, these are bound to get left in places they aren’t supposed to.
Strider bikes are great! My daughter struggled and struggled to transition from training wheels to a 2 wheeler. Literally months of trying and crashing. One day, one of her friends’ dads stopped by and dropped off their strider. In 2 days, our daughter switched to her 2 wheeler and was riding great! That same strider bike got passed around to about a dozen of their friends and taught them all to ride in a couple days to 2 weeks. They are pretty expensive for something you don’t really need very long so get together with a group and get one to pass around. Once they can ride there is no reason to keep them on it.
It’s not the same brand but Costco also has balance bikes for $49.99 right now.
Thanks for this comment. I saw the reviews of this everywhere and it’s rated well so I snagged it.
Awesome find! Thanks for the heads up on those!
I scored one of these at the thrift store for $10! These things are awesome
Wow! GREAT deal, Hailey!
Our daughter will be 4 this December and we started her on one of these at 18 months. She’s still riding it along with her pedal bike. So worth the investment!
How neat! So glad she has been enjoying hers the past few years! I didn’t grab one for my kiddos before they learned, but I sure wish I had!
Costco has a different model for 49.99
